Weekly Overview

 This is the last full week of Mercury Retrograde, so make sure to make the most of it by reflecting on and revisiting the things that need your care. The second half of the week is likely to kick up irritability and agitation as Mercury and Mars meet. Do your best to be conscious about where feelings of urgency need to be met with patience and your passions need brave engagement. This is not a great time for looking outside of yourself for answers, but as fear is a large theme to the astrology of this year, it may be tempting. You may be feeling really ready to go off but this isn't the time for actions that are mainly inspired by your reactions, Aries. Instead, strive to care for your tender, tender heart - that part of you that has been taking the brunt of so much stress lately. You may need to release your attachment to the way things were or how you expected them to be at this time in order to truly meet this moment. Find your truth before you barrel ahead, Aries.

This week it's important that you meet others where they are at. This doesn't mean you have to be in agreement with people or abandon your boundaries or needs, but it does mean that it's important for you to really listen to people and take in what they are telling you at face value. In this way, you will be able to navigate your relationships and any projects that include other humans in ways that are both personally sustainable and dynamically effective, Taurus.

It's really important that you integrate the lesson of “and also”. As an example, "I'm really happy in my relationship and also these things are troubling to me and need care.” The easy doesn't cancel out the hard and the good doesn't cancel out the bad, Twin Star. Your capacity to hold duality is being tested. The better you are at it, the easier it will be for you to maintain your equilibrium through the complexities that you face.

You're likely to be feeling pretty uncomfortable this week as you are sitting with a whole lot of theories and thoughts about what's happening, how you got here, and what comes next. If you find that you are reflecting with a scarcity mindset or that you can't shake your fears, your best bet is to tend to your emotions instead of your theories. Seeking solutions from an anxious mind rarely works – tend to your anxieties before you let your thinking drive you in the very direction you most wish to avoid, Moonchild.

 

You are not supposed to have the answers more than you are meant to be in control, Leo. The astrology of this week is testing your ability to stay present and connected to your value system when faced with all that you don't understand or feelings of loss of control. If your actions are motivated by external feedback, you're going to have a really hard time with this. By being more motivated by your own intuition and heartfelt principles, these setbacks will be uncomfortable but not totally derail you.

 

A big mistake people make when it comes to expressing boundaries is either over communicating which just ends up feeling defensive or confusing to other people, or under communicating which again is confusing to others. This week it's important that you thoughtfully assess where your limits and needs are so that you can communicate simply and clearly to others. This is not only an investment in your relationships, but an investment in self-care, Virgo.

 

Your relationship to disappointment is being tested this week, and it's important that you treat yourself with the care and empathy that anyone would deserve. The key is don’t confuse empathy with a lack of accountability. You can care for yourself while also acknowledging the impact of what you've done and how you've done it. You can learn from mistakes while also understanding that mistakes are just challenging opportunities for evolving and growing as a person. Sit with the discomfort you feel long enough to learn from it, Libra.

 

Your assignment this week is to keep your heart open, Scorpio. You may be dealing with burnout and overwhelm. These feelings are likely to make you not only look outside of yourself for answers, but to point fingers at other people or situations as a way to explain or defend your bad feelings. Don't be in such a rush to fix your problems that you don't take the time and care needed to understand what's happening. What your feelings communicate is truly important to you this week.

 

You may be feeling really motivated to make plans, proclamations, and to change things up, but that doesn't mean that the time is right. Explore ideas with an open heart and open mind but don't be in such a rush to make commitments that you fail to fully explore possibilities. This week fears or insecurities can limit your willingness and ability to access your potential if you're not careful. Be brave enough to sit with the unknown and curious enough to explore it, Sagittarius.

As you struggle with some deep transitions, the best thing that you can do is not the most natural thing – it's to have a good attitude. Expecting and investing in the best doesn't mean ignoring the risks and hazards of a situation. If you adopt a positive attitude and look for the possibilities instead of the pitfalls, you will find that you have more energy to work with and that the choices in front of you expand, Capricorn.

 

The problem with anxiety, other than the fact that it just feels really bad, is that it has you obsessively fixating on what you do not want, which can have the effect of calling it closer to you. This week it's time for you to turn a new page and release attachments to things or relationships that actively hurt you. Do what you need to so that you can have greater access to your intuition and all the wisdom that it has to offer, Aquarius.

 

The truth of the matter is that things don't always work out, and learning how to navigate disappointment, failure, or insecurity is just a part of life. The best thing you can do this week is to take a broadminded view of your situation, your feelings, and the patterns that you can see playing out in your life.  Instead of hurling character assassinations at yourself, determine what boundaries you need to have in your thinking, relationally, and in your behavior, Pisces.
