Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.
Hello, and welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. This week, we're going to look at astrology. You know? That's what we're here to do. But I want to acknowledge before we dive into this week's forecast that we are living in a time of great uncertainty. This will be reflected in the transits of this week, and so we'll talk about it more.
But I want to acknowledge that as you navigate through things that do not yet have answers, things that are, at this moment, unknowable, and issues that are out of your control, it in a meaningful way becomes a mental, emotional, and spiritual health issue. How you navigate through those kinds of inherently Neptunian things, the things that you cannot put in a box and, when you close that box, rattle and hear it—you know what I mean? Things that are nonlinear, nonmaterial in this moment, or potentially ever.
It becomes incumbent upon you to really take pains—and it takes pains, oftentimes—take pains to orient yourself, to get present, and from the present moment, to—I don't know—take a damn breath. Slow down. Notice what you're feeling. Notice what you're needing so that you can assess what is in your stewardship, what is potentially in your control, what you can do based on what you do know.
This is exceptionally hard, and it's not like anyone who's good at it has an easy time of it. This is a hard thing to do. It's a difficult part of adulting. But it is a huge part of the astrology we're going to face this week, and in general, it's just a huge part of what's happening in the world right now. And so I want to acknowledge that and acknowledge that it is stressful and that these things tend to trigger meaningful anxiety in people. And for some people, anxiety means panic attacks. And for some people, anxiety means being tired all the time or being agitated or getting micromanagy—there are so many different ways that we experience our anxieties and existential dread and all of this kind of stuff.
Your way is not a bad way. It's not a good way. It's your way. And if you can find it within you to meet yourself in the moment—like we want to all, as individuals and communities, be accountable. But accountability is not something that we can achieve through perfectionism or surveilling ourselves and others, policing ourselves and others. That's not real accountability. That's something else.
And so I want to encourage you to really sit with whatever is up for you, however you're feeling, and however you're processing those feelings—to sit with all of that and recognize that even if it doesn't feel great, where you're at is okay. And you may need to make some adjustments. And the only way to meet this moment is from this moment. It's not by judging yourself, which is really like a fixation on the past and the future. It's not by totally shutting down or focusing on what everybody else is or isn't doing.
Meet the moment, and hold empathy for yourself if that is a hard thing to do. This will better empower you to practice empathy with healthy boundaries with other people. It's really easy to cast stones, as they say, to point fingers. It's super fucking easy, but it's not very healthy, and it's not very helpful.
This week is as good a time as any to prioritize healthy boundaries in how you talk to yourself, in what you focus on, and how you meet the moment, how you engage with your emotions. And that might be really about self-governance and self-maintenance, self-help. And it might be about how you navigate your relationships at work or your relationships with people that you're intimate with.
Whatever it is that is activated in your personal life and in your relationship to the world, make no mistake that there is a meaningful need for boundaries this week. Boundaries are not a way of isolating yourself from others or controlling situations or controlling other people. They're a form of self-care and self-protection. They're the embodiment of self-awareness. And ultimately, they are yours to identify, articulate, and embody. This is really important.
So we're going to dive into this forecast, but I want to encourage you this week and beyond to be really thinking about this, about your boundaries and how you are or aren't navigating them in your self-maintenance, in your self-care, as well as how you engage with other people and the world.
So, that all said, let's look at the astrology of September 20th through the 26th of 2026. Probably, from the title of the episode, you may have noticed it's a Full Moon. So we're going to end on our Full Moon. But let's start at the beginning, and the beginning happens on Monday, September 21st, at exactly 3:51 p.m. Pacific Time. We have Mercury at 17 degrees of Libra and 55 minutes forming an exact sextile to Jupiter at the same degrees of Leo.
So Mercury sextile Jupiter—if this hits something in your chart directly, this transit can coincide with getting good news, with—I mean, it may be a windfall, and it might just be like somebody you like is coming to town or something like that. It's general good news.
But for most people, what happens under this influence is a couple things. One is it's a great time for making plans, and that's because Mercury is the details and Jupiter is the big picture. And when they're hitting each other with a 60-degree angle, a.k.a. a sextile, we have the capacity to hold the details and the big picture in a really harmonious way.
So it's a good time for travel plans—really, any kind of plans. Any kind of plans you want to make, this transit is your friend. This transit is also really lovely for just being in connection and communication with people. Mercury governs your pals, your friends. It governs your siblings, aunt/uncle kind of relationships, related to cousins as well. So it's also a nice time to be in connection with those people in your life, those kinds of relationships. It's likely to go well because it's a sextile to Jupiter.
The tempo of your days around this transit, so building up and after it's in exactitude, are likely to be a little bit busy. And the busyness is likely to be welcome, unless you've got other shit going on in your birth chart that contradicts this. This transit is lovely. It can put you in a bit of an optimistic frame of mind. It can help you to see the possibilities inherent in your situation or your relationships, which is really helpful. And it's also really good for making new friends reaching out to people—that kind of shit.
So lean in. Use this energy. Tap in. Take a risk. And that risk might be something as simple as texting somebody that you feel shy about. This is a good time, also, for learning shit. And I want you to see the connection between how this transit is good for learning things to how this transit is good for connecting with people. It's that same open-mindedness that helps in both scenarios.
And this is good for learning things because, again, you might just find that article that explains it to you in that way that you need it explained. You might just find that data set, whatever the hell that means to you, that actually explains something to you that you want to learn. If you've been like, "Should I sign up for this class?" yeah, sign up for the class. Mercury sextile Jupiter is a great time for doing that. Again, we want to hold this weekly mundane astrology that I am offering to you in this podcast in context with the larger transits in your individual birth chart.
Last thing I'll say about this—there's only one thing to be kind of mindful of during this transit, and it's to not overextend yourself. So, if you know that you've been feeling kind of tapped or overwhelmed, and all of a sudden you feel flooded with potential and excitement and energy and you're like, "I'm going to make plans based on how I feel right now, ignoring how I've been feeling recently," that's not great. So don't overextend yourself, especially when making plans this week, and you'll be solid, okay? That's the best way to use this transit.
Now, on the 22nd, which is Tuesday, the Sun moves from Virgo and into Libra, making it Libra Season. So welcome to Libra Season. Things change. Seasons change, and now it's time for Libra. I'm not going to say too much more about that because, I mean, sun sign astrology—you can find that all over the damn internet. So let's stay focused on the planetary transits.
Our next set of planetary transits happens on Friday, the 25th. So we have two exact transits on this day, and they're both from the Sun. The Sun will be opposite to Neptune with the Sun at 3 degrees exactly, 0 minutes, of Libra, exactly opposite to Neptune at the same degrees of Aries. And that's exact at 6:36 p.m. Pacific Time.
A few hours later, at 10:35 p.m. Pacific Time, the Sun will be exactly trine to Pluto. The Sun will now be at 3 degrees and 10 minutes of Libra, and Pluto will be at the exact same degrees of Aquarius. Both of these transits are a little intense, and they have a lot of potential. So let me break down what it means.
And you want to keep in mind, on Saturday, the 26th, we have a Full Moon, Full Moon in Aries. These two transits will be very close to exactitude in that Full Moon chart. So the energies that I'm about to describe to you will be heavily felt in our Full Moon chart. So let's stay present and focus on the Sun opposition to Neptune.
Okay. So the Sun opposite Neptune can be a little bit of a demoralizing transit, unfortunately. It can make you feel exhausted, confused. It can make you feel kind of gullible, paranoid. This can lead to insecurity, and this can also lead to anxiety. And depending on how you experience anxiety, as I said at the beginning of this episode, the issue here is that when you feel overwhelmed, anxious, demoralized, or depleted, there are so many coping mechanisms that you may have that come online that, in a way, don't make sense to the literal, technical thing that I am talking about, which is feeling anxious, feeling overstimulated and overwhelmed. It's not a neurological, heady overstimulation. It's an energetic overstimulation.
If you are the kind of woo that works with energy shielding, this is the time in the week where you want to shield up, okay? And this is something that we talk about and I teach over on my Patreon. And there are many different practices from different cultures around energetic shielding. Whatever your practices are, this is your time. This is your time to do that.
And really, what energetic shielding is in practical terms is being aware of your energy and setting intentions around what you will allow in and what is not compatible or what you do not consent to. And that's really a lot of what boundaries are about. They're being clear about what you want to allow in and how you want to conduct yourself externally, internally, etc.
Sun opposite Neptune is a transit where you may be feeling tired. If you're tired, try to rest. Now, if you're somebody who has an escapist tendency to nap or rest, I'm not talking to you, okay? If you are somebody who doesn't tend to rest when you need it, please do rest, because this transit can tap your vitality because the Sun is related to vitality. And so, if you're tapped, take care of yourself.
Now, differently, if you're somebody who tends to just get really sleepy or just totally escape and tap out when shit gets hard, it's going to be important that you practice meeting the moment under this transit, just being present, because unfortunately, the Sun opposition to Neptune can really trigger escapist self-harm behaviors. And there are so many of them. There are so many of them to choose from, and we all have them. We all do shit like that. Sometimes those behaviors cause real harm to ourselves or others. Sometimes they're just fucking annoying. Things exist on a spectrum. But it's something to be aware of. It's something to be mindful of.
This is a terrible fucking time for mind-altering, consciousness-raising drugs, just today, tomorrow, the next day, also the day before today. Fucking Sun opposite Neptune—terrible time for that, okay? This transit wants you to practice getting really present and tapping into alignment. It wants you to do that so that you can recognize the boundaries of your own energy, your own capacity.
It is, in some ways, a spiritual transit. But unfortunately, when the Sun and Neptune are opposite to each other, it's a bad time for doing spiritual work because Neptune takes your auric field, your energetic body, and turns it into a little bit of a loofah sponge—super absorbent. And so it puts you in a bad position for having clear discernment, healthy boundaries, and navigating spiritual waters, which can be, at times, very deep.
The healthiest thing to do is to keep it simple. That's the rule with Neptune. You gotta keep it simple and try your best to adopt grounding and nurturing spiritual practices. When the Sun and Neptune oppose each other, we have a tendency to hold our breath, forget to drink water, forget to eat, forget to do the basic things that you need to do to survive and thrive, like breathing—super helpful. Drinking the water—it's super necessary.
But Neptune has a way of popping you out of your body so that you have a hard time remembering to do those things or choosing to do those things, those self-care things. So do your best to remember and choose. In other words, practice healthy stewardship of your own boundaries, capacity, and needs so that you are not just focusing on self-care but you can also show up with and for others.
Now, we may get some fucking catastrophic, dramatic news break on this date or around this date, and it may or may not be true because Neptune can be related to gullibility and misunderstandings and projections. You want to make sure you wait a good 72 hours before making your next move, whether that's like you get news in the world or news in your personal life. Let things kind of settle a little bit. Leave room for people and situations to come in and give you more information.
This is a terrible time for fucking processing with someone you love or like. Don't try to make your relationship more stable at this time. It's not well starred, okay? Now, we'll have more to say about that in the context of a Full Moon in Aries in a minute. But know that this transit means that you are dealing with circumstances that are outside of your control.
And let me just say this. Just because you didn't create a problem or create a situation doesn't mean you're not responsible for how you choose to navigate the existence of it. In other words, even if something is upsetting you that was my fault, how you navigate that upset—maybe your relationship with me, maybe your life in general—that's your responsibility. That's yours.
And as we learn the many layers of navigating boundaries and accountability and self-care and community and all the things that are really important to us, we must be accountable. We must take responsibility. And it doesn't mean that everything that you're taking responsibility for are things that you created. But if they are things you are experiencing—they are parts of your life—then you are meant to be in stewardship of them. Is it fair? Is it not fair? I don't fucking know. But I can tell you that that is a really key component to adulting.
Now, luckily, that Sun trine to Pluto is overlapping with our Sun opposition to Neptune. Now, Sun trine to Pluto is a very supportive transit. It is lovely that we have it active at this time. Sun trine to Pluto strengthens your resiliency. It strengthens your vitality. It creates depth so that you are willing to go deep and do the work, to face hard things, to move through limitations, judgments, resentments—that kind of shit. And the reason why it helps you to move through is because it doesn't have you recoiling from intense, heavy shit. It helps you to cultivate a greater willingness to be present with that shit. And I say "shit" because Pluto literally governs shit—fun facts, you know?
The Sun trine to Pluto—the thing I love the most about this transit is that it's empowering. And it doesn't magically happen that you are magically and automatically empowered, but Pluto brings about power. And the Sun is about your identity, your vitality, and your sense of self. And so this is an inherently empowering transit.
This transit can help you to do research, to plunge to the depths of things, to hang out in intensity that would otherwise typically frighten you or maybe shut you down. This transit is really supportive and helpful. We want to have this transit during a Full Moon chart, which we will. We want to have this transit overlapping with something as overwhelming, confusing, and demoralizing as that Sun opposition to Neptune. It's a great transit. So do your best to tap into it and make the most of it.
And now, finally, we have our Full Moon in Aries. At exactly 9:49 a.m. Pacific Time, the Sun will be at 3 degrees and 37 minutes of Libra, sitting directly opposite to the Moon at the same degrees of Aries. Let's look at the chart. And if you're not watching the video version of this episode, you can find it on whatever platform supports video podcast episodes. You can go over to my Patreon, where it's on the free page, or find my YouTube, because it can be helpful, depending on your brain, to have the visual of the chart to look along with. And if you do look along with me, do remember, even if you are living in the location that I cast the chart for, when we're looking at Full Moon charts, New Moon charts, we're not paying attention to houses or angles. We're just looking at the planets. That's just how we do it, okay?
So this Full Moon in Aries will bring up emotional issues related to how you feel, and not just emotionally how you feel—how your body holds what you feel because Aries is so much about embodiment. A Moon in Aries opposite the Sun in Libra is always going to kick up the kind of themes of my needs versus our needs. And this is less about community and more about one-on-one relationships because Libra is more about one-on-one relationships. That's your bestie. That's your enemy and your frenemy and your coworker that you're in a one-on-one dynamic with—anyone who you have a one-on-one relationship with is in the jurisdiction of Libra's vibes.
So the Full Moon in Aries is a time when how you navigate your own emotions, your own drives, is really activated. And in this Full Moon in Aries moment, we have the Moon conjunct Neptune. The Moon is conjunct Neptune; it's still opposite the Sun. It is no longer in exactitude. The Moon/Neptune conjunction is also not in exactitude, but it is less than 1 degree apart. It's tight, girl. It's tight.
And so the Moon/Neptune conjunction is a big fucking deal. This is not a very desirable fucking placement. I'm not going to lie. I'm not lying to you. It's disorienting. Neptune/Moon conjunction can make you feel like you're disintegrating, you're falling apart, like you were solid matter and now you're gaseous, okay? It's not great. It's just not great.
The Moon conjunction to Neptune tends to coincide with overwhelm. And this is why it is essential that you practice healthy boundaries and that those healthy boundaries are an emotionally informed thing. So what I mean is, if you have a tendency when you're around your mom to get really defensive and agitated or to really shut down when things get uncomfortable, and you know you have to hang out with your mom on the Full Moon, then what you would want to do is practice being present with the emotions that come up before you get defensive or shut down, to identify various ways you might walk into a situation with healthy, strong boundaries.
A behavioral approach would be, when conversation goes in a fucking uncomfortable direction, being like, "Oh shoot. I gotta go to the bathroom"—physically removing yourself from the room, not defensively, but as a boundary. Being defensive is classic Moon in Aries move. But we don't want to be defensive because that's a fighting stance. Fighting is reactionary—in the context that I'm talking about it in, not in all contexts.
What we want to do is have a healthy boundary before we go into a fighting mode. That healthy boundary is, "This person talks about this shit and makes me feel bad. This is the pattern. I know I'm feeling bad right now, but I don't have to engage in my half of the pattern with my mom," as an example.
This Full Moon is an opportunity to really learn something about how we do or don't embody healthy boundaries, especially when we are activated or triggered. And chances are meaningful that you will be activated or triggered this Full Moon, not just because Neptune is here to teach us healthy boundaries but because we have Pluto sitting opposite Mars—not in exactitude—and Pluto is also forming a square to Venus, which is wider and not at all in exactitude.
There's drama in the air, my darlings. There's drama in the air. And that drama can stir the pot. It can heat things up. So people are likely to be more defensive. People is you. People is me. People is the people that you interact with that you wish would just be different. And so the positive potential here is gargantuan. It's huge. The positive potential here is that you practice the embodiment of self-care through the practice of healthy boundaries and do so without squashing your feelings, your needs, or what comes up in your body, but instead by practicing self-care and self-protection around those things. It is not easy. It's also not complicated.
And luckily, this Full Moon has a sextile to Uranus and a sextile to Pluto to support it, creating the circumstance of greater capacity and willingness to do things differently and to stay with the messy bits because Pluto governs the messy bits. We also have a not-exact Mercury/Chiron opposition. So conversations are not likely to go easy. This is not a great time for processing; I promise you that. So, if you can avoid it, definitely do.
But you might not be able to avoid patterns in your friendships, your relationships, or in your thinking that essentially kind of returns to power struggles that you have lived through over and over again. Maybe you are engaged with people who treat you like shit, and you're engaged in power struggles in which you are victim and they are perpetrator. Perhaps it's the reverse. Perhaps it's just fucking people triggering each other—I don't know.
But I do know that this Full Moon chart speaks to our assignment. Your assignment as an individual is to tap into your agency. It's to be emotionally accountable to yourself as a foundation for being emotionally accountable to and with others, recognizing that sometimes you can't. And sometimes you can but you don't know how, or you can and it's hard, or you can and it's a pleasure, right? Right? But that's not exactly what we're talking about right now.
And know that a Full Moon is always going to bring big emotions up to the surface. That's its job. And this particular Full Moon, it's going to bring up big emotions so that you can practice having healthy boundaries. You might notice the patterns in your thinking and in your body that lead up to defensiveness, insecurity, projection. Do your best to "dear diary" that shit. Take notes, okay?
Practice accountability by remembering your agency. You are making choices. You may have shitty choices in front of you, but you're still making choices. So what choices are you making? What emotions are you centering? What needs are you honoring? These are powerful questions to entertain during this Full Moon in Aries.
You can change. You can change. Do you need to change? I don't know. Do you want to change? Again, I don't know. But you can change. People change. People can change. I know there's so many people who say, "Oh, people can't change." Yeah, you can. It just takes time and effort, and then effort and then time, and then more time and more effort. But if you recognize that you are, in some meaningful way, the architect of your own unhappiness, then it is incumbent upon you to reshape your efforts. A Full Moon in Aries is a powerful time for doing that, or at least taking steps, making moves towards that.
Emotional growth and development, which is under the purview of the Moon—right? And it's a Full Moon. It takes time. It takes nurturance and care. The Moon governs digestion. It's like it's how we digest things. And that is a low process. It's not like pressing a button. And we've become more impatient and intolerant as a culture. And this Full Moon in Aries is going to activate that inside of you. How you engage with that, how you respond—that's a reflection on you.
Now, on a more collective level, there is something to be named. Now, over on my Patreon, I recently pulled up the chart of the United States of America again. I did it maybe two years ago or a year and a half ago, and then we're doing it again, looking at that chart and what's happening.
And something that I'll say about Neptune—Neptune, on a mundane astrology level, on a collective level, is related to religious extremism, fanaticism, cults. And so, when we have major Neptune transits—and this particular Full Moon features Neptune very heavily, and it is activating parts of the chart of the United States—we may see either the impacts of the rise of white Christian nationalism and all of the religious and spiritual convictions that underpin that movement, or some other development of world events that are fueled in meaningful ways by religious, spiritual, or deeply held beliefs.
And unfortunately, at least in American politics, this is often reflected by racism, homophobia, and a bunch of other bullshit, unfortunately. And so we want to be mindful. We want to be—as much as we are paying attention to our own inner development, we do want to stay connected to the world. We do want to stay aware of what's happening in the world so that we understand what our work is in how we engage with the world around us.
And I know that because of all this Neptunian energy, paying attention to what's happening politically and in regards to human rights and the environment can be deeply demoralizing. And it is very tempting to try to escape reality as a way to cope. That is not a healthy, sustainable strategy. I don't know what your strategy is. That depends on a myriad of factors that are personal to you. But I do want to encourage you to notice, this Full Moon and this week in general, how and where escapism is your primary strategy and whether or not that is working for you and the life you want to live and the world you want to help co-create.
And that, my friends, is your forecast for this week. I forgot to do the TL;DR last week, but I will not forget again. Your TL;DR for this week's horoscope is to make plans and try to connect some dots, whether that's with people, ideas, or anything else. Practice healthy boundaries and good psychic hygiene or mental health hygiene with an emphasis on empowerment. And then, finally, tap into your agency, whether it's in how you feel or how you relate to others.
