Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.
Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. This week, we're looking at the astrology of June 7th through the 16th of 2026. And it is officially Pride Month. To all of my Queer listeners, I want to say happy fucking Pride. And in 2026, here is to a radically pro-Transgender Pride. This is a really important season for all Queer people and our allies because of how aggressively Queer rights, and especially Trans rights, and safety is under attack.
And so a couple of really important things. The first is I want to invite all of my Queer listeners to go ahead and send me a question to be considered for the podcast as I center Queer life and love this month on the pod. And also, to quote the beloved Mama LuLu, may all the bottoms find the tops and the tops find the bottoms this Pride Season.
Okay. Now we're going to get into this week's forecast. And there's not too many transits this week, so we're just going to hop right in. The first exact transit is one that, I'm going to tell you, there's so much annoying and misleading misinformation about. On Tuesday, the 9th of June, we have two exact transits. But the first one—the first one—is a Venus conjunction to Jupiter. Venus will be at 25 degrees and 47 minutes of Cancer, and it will meet up with Jupiter at the same exact degrees of the same sign, hence conjunct.
Now, here's the thing. People on the internet love to promise that the Venus conjunction to Jupiter is some sort of magical event where you're going to fall in love; you're going to feel great about yourself, and everything is going to be easy and glorious. And that is inaccurate and not true. If you yourself are like, "Well, maybe it's true," I just want to flash some dates at you here, okay?
This transit happens pretty frequently. The last time it happened was August 12th of last year, of 2025. Before that, it was May 23rd of 2024. You can check out March 2nd of 2023 or look back at April 30th of 2022, and tell me if in fact these days brought you magical dreams and rainbows and love. It's not how reality works. That's not how astrology works, actually.
The thing about a Venus/Jupiter conjunction is that it is a lovely transit, and when it's happening in the world, as it's happening here on June 9th, 2026, at exactly 2:59 p.m. Pacific Time, we feel good. This transit can make you feel good. It can make everybody around you feel good. And so that ends up greasing the wheel so that people get along better. If there's vibes and energy, there's less insecurity. There's less trepidation, social anxiety. And therefore, things can be more fun. This can be a great transit for making art, putting yourself in the presence of creativity and art that inspires you—wonderful.
What this transit doesn't do is magically pluck a person from the ether and plop it into your lap. Unfortunately, this transit doesn't bring a whole lot of umph. It doesn't bring you motivation. It, in fact, is a great time to sit in a cozy spot and eat bonbons. This is a great transit for relaxing. This is a great transit for shopping—if you have money to spend only. And it's a great transit for leaning into hedonism. Venus is very much a material girl. And so being able to eat delicious foods, touch delicious fabrics, have romantic, sensual times is well starred. But it doesn't create those things, okay?
Now, if this transit was happening to you personally in your individual birth chart, there would be a slightly bigger chance of magic/romance occurring. But even that, not so much. So I don't want to burst your bubble, but I think it's really important when we work with astrology to be as substantive as possible and to understand what astrology is and isn't. It is not magic. It just describes what's happening around you. It describes what's happening inside of you.
And so what I can tell you about this transit is that it makes things feel easier. And if, in that ease, you're like, "I just want to hang out on the couch and do nothing," great. If, in that ease, you flirt a little more, you lean into love and connection a little more, fabulous. If, in that ease, you just hang out with your sketchbook or whatever artistic medium you enjoy, wonderful. But let's just work with the energy intentionally.
Now, the other thing about this transit that is really important and especially relevant, given the overlapping other transit that is exact on this day, is that Venus is your values, and Jupiter is your beliefs and experiences. This transit can—can—help you to hold your values close to your heart as you reflect on your past experiences or the experiences of others. You can expand your beliefs or narrow your beliefs in ways that better reflect your values system and help you have a greater sense of purpose.
So this transit does not bring motivation and juj, but it does help you to clarify what's important to you in a big-picture way because of Jupiter. This is especially true because the overlapping transit that's also happening on this day is exact. At 10:39 p.m. Pacific Time, we have a Mercury square to Saturn, with Mercury at 12 degrees and 58 minutes of Cancer forming an exact square to Saturn at the same degrees of Aries.
Now, Mercury square Saturn is a challenging transit. And the overlap with the Venus conjunction to Jupiter is actually, I think, a gift. And this is because, like I said, Venus conjunction to Jupiter in Cancer—honestly, not a lot of motivation in that chart. But Mercury square to Saturn gives you a drive to work harder. Saturn always wants to work. And Mercury is your thoughts. It is directly connected to your attitudes, like how you hold your thoughts. It's communication and friendship. It's how you listen. It's the data you consume, and it's the data you spew.
And so, when Mercury forms a square to Saturn, what we have is a risk of depressive thinking, scarcity-based thinking. You look around; you see, oh, everything is shitty, and it's always been shitty, and it will always be shitty. And I'm not here to disagree or agree one way or another. But what I am saying is that a scarcity-based mindset will always find scarcity. And that doesn't mean scarcity isn't real. It doesn't mean that scarcity doesn't need to be contemplated and dealt with.
But there is a meaningful difference between scanning for ease like Jupiter wants you to do or scanning for problems like Saturn wants you to do, because when you're looking for something, you are more likely to find it, right? If I tell you, "Go look for a red Jeep somewhere on the roads," eventually you're going to find a red Jeep. You might not have noticed it otherwise.
So back to the transit. Mercury square to Saturn can give some legs to our Venus/Jupiter conjunction. It can help you to really parse through what you think and what you're doing about it or be critical in your thinking about how you relate to your values system and your belief. This can help you to make sure that you're not just flirting to get attention, but instead, you're flirting because it's authentic, which is actually really cool.
Mercury square to Saturn is like reverse flirting energy, though. It doesn't make you feel particularly flirtatious or open. A lot of people will prefer to be alone during this transit, even though the Venus conjunction to Jupiter is a really good socializing transit. And so you might put yourself in a situation where you're being social, but it feels a little off, especially if you're not interacting with people that you have an authentic interest in and connection to or—reverse that—if they don't have an authentic interest in you or connection to you.
This transit is a good one for working through something challenging, like working through data. So that might mean an organizing project. Something boring and administrative is actually quite well starred here because it gives Saturn something to do, and it focuses your Mercury. It's a good time for processing, but it's not a good time for processing with others. And that is because everyone's in a weird mood. Everyone's thinking in terms of scarcity. And so you might not be able to avoid having a meaningful conversation with someone or with people, but Saturn tends to be heavy-handed.
Now, again, we are lucky that the Venus/Jupiter conjunction is happening at the same time because Venus/Jupiter is like, "Everything is cool. There are no problems." So the two extreme natures of these individual transits can have you hanging out in the middle. Or it could have you flippity-floppiting in how you think and how you feel and how you act over the next couple of days, so the days leading up and the days after.
The way to be intentional about this is notice how you feel. I know this sounds so simple, but seriously, notice how you feel in your solitude. Notice how you feel around other people. And recognize that you have agency. You have the capacity to make decisions and choices around how you hold what you're experiencing, the stories you tell yourself about what you're experiencing, how you engage with other people, your relationship to self-worth and self-esteem, and your relationship to follow-through, to speaking your mind. I mean, there's a lot of different ways we can speak our minds. It's not always blah, blah, blah, talk, talk, talk—but speaking your mind in a way that is important to you and important contextually to your relationships because Venus and Mercury are inherently relational planets.
So we know that this is going to play out in a meaningful way relationally with others. Now, to be clear, for some of you, that's going to look like you thinking and obsessing and not necessarily communicating with people. So you want to be mindful of that. Relationships happen in dynamic, back and forth. When it's one-sided, when you are fixating on and thinking about and kind of mulling over a dynamic or a relationship with somebody who is either unaware that you are doing it or not participating with you, then this becomes a you problem. This becomes something for you to be curious about and check in around, to make sure that you are not using your own energy essentially against yourself, because negative fixations and obsessions on other people don't hurt the subject of your fixation; they only hurt you.
Now, these two transits are not obsessive in nature. But Saturn can trigger insecurity and fear, and because of that, a lot of us have obsessive, fixated kinds of coping mechanisms around fear and insecurity. So one can kick off the other, if you know what I'm saying.
One more thing I'm going to say about this—if you are working on some sort of project that is important to you and reflects your values or is an important creative endeavor, Saturn can help you to edit. Now, you want to edit with a pencil and not a pen right now. You don't want to edit with too aggressive of a hand, and those are real risks with Saturn. But this transit can help you to really look a little bit more objectively at your projects and consider what is and isn't working. You can apply this, as well, to your relationships, although that's much harder to achieve in general, not just during this transit.
All of this said, we want to know that these transits we will still be feeling as the next exact transit of the week occurs. And that'll be happening on Friday, June 12th, at exactly 10:24 p.m. Pacific Time. And we've got Venus at a very anaretic 29 degrees of Cancer and 44 minutes forming a square to Chiron, same degrees of Aries. So we are in our final days of Chiron in Aries. So, my Gen Xers, your Chiron Return era is passing you by, and congratulations.
So okay. Venus square Chiron. Now, it's important to note Venus conjoins Jupiter at the start of the week—start-ish of the week—and now it squares Chiron. This is really important because Venus is your relationships. It's what you love. It's your values. It also is related to your personal finances, what you own. It is related to how you feel about the way you look, how you feel about your own creative potential, your own creative life, especially if you are an artist or a creative person.
This is related to your close relationships, so not exclusively romantic, because we have platonic relationships with people that we have tenderness for and love for and sweetness with, right? And that's Venus for you. Venus square to Chiron tests your core wounding around a sense of belonging—belonging in relationship to others, which plays out in your personal relationships, but it also plays out around how you feel about the way you look because so much of our sense of belonging as we move through the world has to do with how we are treated based on how we look, based on appearances. Is it bullshit? You bet it is. But is it real? Also, you bet.
Venus square Chiron can kick up old patterns and wounds in your relationships—your relationships to your values, your relationship to your finances, your relationship to your relationships. And within this, you have the opportunity to recognize ways in which your struggles around self-worth may either incline you to act in ways that aren't authentic to you, don't actually reflect your values, or it may incline you to assume the worst, to hide away, to not let the good stuff in.
Venus square Chiron is a confronting transit. But the confrontation is the kind of confrontation you need in order to heal. So there's this really important theme throughout this week, and for some of us, it's going to kick up financial issues. For others of us, very much relationship issues—love and connection and belonging issues. And for some lucky few, it's going to kick up all of it. The thing to know is that this particular transit is encouraging you to step into the present because Chironic core wounding is related to early developmental experiences and the past. And the thing is, us humans, we go through trauma. And if we don't deal with it swiftly, it just gets integrated into our systems. When we go through transits like this one, a Venus square to Chiron, we have the opportunity to really heal and change. We do. And it's beautiful. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
And so, as challenging as this may be, I want to encourage you to not duck or cover from a self-worth crisis, but instead to be interested in what's actually coming up, what it's activating inside of you, what your beliefs and your habits are for how you cope with it and you engage with it, because a healing crisis, a self-worth or self-esteem crisis, can be an opportunity for you to experience greater wholeness. And that can be on a really individual level, like within your sense of self, or it can be within your relationships.
The struggles that come up in this transit are going to be hard to sit with and hard to hold. So be gentle. Venus does not respond well to a strong-arming, especially Venus in Cancer. Instead, what we want to do is tap into Chiron in Aries, core anaretic Chiron in Aries energies, which is very much about being in your body and being accountable, tapping into your agency, owning what you do and the motivations underpinning why you do it.
And you might not know the answer to that: "Why am I doing what I do?" Own that. Own that you're not clear about your motives. You're not clear why you do the shit you do. It's okay to own, "I don't know." When we talk about owning our shit, it doesn't always mean having perfect clarity and having a well-established narrative. You don't always have to know.
When we engage with this transit consciously, it's likely to be messy. But that messiness, if it's authentic, if it's true, is valuable to stay present with. Sometimes it's like you're not really clear about why you are insecure about the things you're insecure about, why you have certain patterns in your relationships or certain patterns with your finances that you just weren't expecting. It's sometimes really hard to know why these things happen, why you're engaged in these patterns. And transits like this are here to help you figure it out. But you can't figure out why you're hurting if you don't sit with the hurt.
At the end of the day, you—adult you that I'm talking to right now that's hearing my voice—are the same you that is two-year-old you and four-year-old you and seven-year-old you. You are an adult at some age of adulthood; I don't know. But inside of you lives all the younger versions of you, all the experiences you had when you were really little and when you were a younger adult. And when we experience trauma or certain level of hardship, it is within human nature to kind of break off, to kind of shut down, disconnect, develop coping mechanisms that are the best we can do given where we're at.
And if we don't return to these pain points and these coping mechanisms that we developed in a pinch, we can often find ourselves in a pretty rough position as adults where we continue to use these coping mechanisms that aren't that great. What I'm really getting at here is, sometimes, it's important to recognize the five-year-old inside of you and how that young version of you is still kind of running the show. It's still telling you that you don't belong. It's still telling you that you're—insert insecurity or core wound belief.
And it's important for you—adult you—to be able to speak to and acknowledge that young part of you that's still functioning off of some sort of really difficult lived experience and to be the adult. This is a really hard thing about adulting, and this is why I'm a fan of therapy—of so many kinds of therapies—because it is a lifetime of unpacking and exploring and reframing and reholding and parenting and unparenting and reparenting ourselves. That's life. And maybe you're also parenting the people around you. Maybe you have kids. It's not all that life is, but it's a meaningful part of life if you are on a healing journey.
And again, to bring it back to this week's astrology, from Venus conjunction to Jupiter, to Mercury square Saturn, and now Venus square Chiron, we have the opportunity to meaningfully—and if you like a TL;DR, it's coming now—to meaningfully tap into what we love, what we value, what we care about, to be critical, and to be willing to edit or hold realistically those things, and to sit with whatever pain we have around our patterns, and to sit with it with the accountability and the responsibility of our adult self.
The thing about each individual transit that you are going through to your own birth chart or each individual transit that I unpack on the transit week after week is that they are individual events, but they are not just individual events, just like whether it rains or not today is not just about today and rain. It's about the waterways and how they do or don't fill up. It's about whether or not you have to run water out of your hose to water your plants. It is about the ecosystem, the plants and the animals and the humans and the golf courses and all the things. I am not excited about the golf courses. Fuck golf courses. But you see what I'm saying, right? There is an interconnection between all things.
And so, when we look at these transits, they are active and here today. And also, they happen in a cyclical pattern, and they are layers and layers of lived experience for us as a collective and you as an individual. How you engage with this energy might be a lot easier or harder, depending on your individual circumstances, but it is where we are as a collective—really looking at our values systems, looking at who we love and how we love, whether loving other people is at the expense of loving the self.
Relationships don't always have to be easy. But in order for them to be healthy, they need to be a healthy reflection of what your values are. They can't come at your expense. Compromise is really important, but compromises that compromise you—not so good, right? Not so good.
And so this week's astrology is challenging and confronting, but they are such good challenges and really good opportunities for you to meet the moment who you are, as you are, to own it—to own it—and to adapt as needed, to equally meet your relationships as they are realistically, and meet that moment individually within whatever relationships get activated.
And that's it for this week's horoscope. Again, I cannot say it emphatically enough: I love the Gays. And if you don't know that I am a humongous homo, let me introduce you to my very Queer self. It's so important for us to be out and proud of who we are. And whoever you are, wherever you're at, I hope that you love and care enough for yourself that you feel no shame about being able to own it. And within that, within that kindness to yourself, may it extend out to others so that you may be able to hold space for other people where they're at, when they're at, with kindness, patience, little bit of grace.
All right, my friends. As always, I hope you tune in to the midweek episode. Send me those questions with Queers to the front. And join me over on Patreon for deeper conversations about astrology and self-worth issues and all manner of woo. We go deep. And I will talk to you in just a couple of days.
