Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.
Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. This week, we are going to be looking at the astrology of June 21st through the 27th of 2026. And there's going to be a meaningful emphasis this week on boundaries. And so here's the thing. Your TL;DR for this week's horoscope truly is to connect with your values and your willingness to grow so that you can take accountability for your own damn boundaries, which is hard.
I've talked a lot about boundaries on this podcast, both in the horoscope episodes but a lot in the readings that I do. And on my Patreon, there's just a bazillion videos about boundaries from different angles. But as a quick and gentle refresher, your boundaries are yours. They belong to you. They're yours to identify, to clarify, to embody, and to uphold. When other people intentionally or unintentionally disrupt your boundaries, disregard your boundaries, trample on your boundaries, that's a reflection on them. That's important information for you to have about that person and the relationship you have in real time. How you respond to that trespass—that's a reflection on you.
Your boundaries are yours to manage and uphold. Boundaries aren't rules. Your boundaries don't require obedience from other people. They require respect. And if other people can't respect your boundaries, then they are not actively able to respect you. And that's really valuable information for you to have, right? Sometimes things get lost in translation and relationships are messy, and there's misunderstandings and not intentional or malicious trespass. And sometimes it is intentional or malicious.
And the way that you can figure that out requires self-reflection. It requires self-awareness and work. And sometimes that work includes talking to other people, asking questions, and sometimes that just requires that you take accountability for your own boundaries. See what I'm saying? It's all about boundaries.
So something to noodle on this week—if you want to deepen your understanding about what the fuck boundaries are, again, you can hop on over to Patreon, where I imagine I'm going to be talking about that more this week, and I also just have a ton of existing content where we have explored values and boundaries and relationships to self and others. So join me over there if that's of interest.
And before I fully hop into this week's forecast, I want to just say, hey, you Gays, happy Pride. Thank you so much for all of the very tender birthday wishes for my forever fiancé. They were read. They were felt. The cockles were warmed. It was very, very sweet. I'm still inviting Queer folks to send in questions to be centered on the podcast. If you yourself are living the Gay experience, the Queer experience, go ahead and send me a question. And then, finally, here is to a radically pro-Transgender Pride, y'all.
All right. Let's dive straight into this week's forecast. This week's horoscope begins on June 21st, which is a Sunday, and we enter into Cancer Season. Welcome to Cancer Season, and happy birthday to all the Cancers. Okay. So Sun moves into Cancer, and then almost immediately, it forms an exact sextile to Chiron newly in Taurus. That happened last week. We have the Sun at 0 degrees of Cancer and 3 minutes forming an exact sextile to Chiron at the same degrees of Taurus, exact at 2:48 a.m. Pacific Time. This transit is actually really lovely, and it marks a great start to Cancer Season. Now, listen. I'm going to say something that contradicts that a little bit in just a hot minute, but such is life. It's full of contradictions.
So the Sun sextile to Chiron is a great transit. It's one that supports you in having self-awareness, pursuing self-reflection, and basically tuning in to what is authentic and true and aligned for you. Sounds great, right? But the tricky thing about Chiron—kind of similar, honestly, to Saturn or Pluto—is that it's still a little bit stressful because you're accessing parts of yourself that you struggle with.
Now, the beauty of this transit is it's not especially painful. It's not especially dramatic. And there is a lot of room for growth and healing. But you have to choose it, right? You have to choose it. Now, you may just be like, "Oh, okay, so something that's usually really hard for me was not that hard for me today." It might be that simple for you, or it may be that there's some sort of meaningful progress that you achieve in terms of your emotions—Cancer—and how you feel safe in your own skin or in your own identity—Taurus.
This transit is lovely. It broadly promotes healing and self-discovery and growth. But it does take doing a little bit of work, okay? Now, let's keep in mind it is Cancer Season, and that means that the work is heartfelt. It's emotional. Cancer and Taurus are both related to security in a really big way, and so you may want to point your focus towards how you do or don't feel safe, how you do or don't navigate and promote your own security and stability and safety inside of yourself. I’m not talking about things. I'm not talking about work, necessarily. I'm talking about how you feel, how you hold your relationship to work, maybe.
How you hold what you are, where you're at, and where you've been, how you hold your concerns for the future—that's an inside job. Again, it's related to boundaries, but it has so much to do with being authentic about where you're at. Self-awareness is not about looking for answers so that you can defend what's true for you. Self-awareness is about self-inquiry because the best way to live a life that is aligned and feels successful is by knowing where you're at, what you're working with, and what's important to you. This transit is supportive for all of that.
Now, our next exact transits occur on Thursday, June 25th. And we have two transits, and there's some issue here. So Venus is trine to Saturn. We have Venus at almost 14 degrees of Leo forming an exact trine to Saturn at almost 14 degrees of Aries. This transit is exact at 5:02 a.m. Pacific Time.
Now, Venus trine Saturn is lovely. It actually really grounds you into your values system. So Venus is related to your values, and Saturn is related to your big-picture goals and ambitions, like how you organize your life or how you organize your sense of self, your sense of reality. Saturn is very much related to your internal structure, and Venus is very much related to your relationships, your sense of love and connection with other people. And so Venus trine to Saturn is a good time for strengthening, fortifying, or clarifying those things. That might mean tending to the people and things that you care the most about that need your attention and affirmation. Again, this is related to security.
And let's be real. These transits—they happen. They're what we call minor transits, and they happen not that infrequently. But we are also living through exceptional times where we are facing a lot of really existential threats as humans on the planet broadly, and then many of our communities are really facing down some major existential threats that are pointed and really quite frightening.
And so transits like this—they take on a new kind of meaning because, whether or not you're thinking about politics and social issues and the environment, which—BTWs, please think about those things. If you think those things are low vibe and astrology is high vibe, I gotta say astrology is the planet. It's the planet relationship to other planets. And it has everything to do with our social conditions, our political conditions, and the environment that we live on.
What I'm trying to get at here is, because so many of us, whether we're conscious about it or not, are really frightened about and feeling destabilized around our sense of security and stability in our individual lives and in the world, transits like this take on greater importance. They activate more because there's more that we're unconscious about. There's more that we're grappling with. It's really valuable to lean into transits like our Sun sextile to Chiron that started the week off and our Venus trine to Saturn exact today.
Of course, that said, we have a little bit of that contradiction that I referred to about beginning Cancer Season. So, at 3:38 p.m. Pacific Time, the Sun will be at 4 degrees and 23 minutes of Cancer—moves real quick into 4 degrees. And it'll be forming a square to Neptune at the same degrees of Aries. So we have that tension between Aries that just wants to get up and go, that is just like, "Let me just move through this. I'm going to power through," and Cancer, which comes at things sideways, which is inherently emotional and concerned with the security and sanctity of feeling.
And when these two energies are in this kind of 90-degree angle, a square energy, what can often happen is you don't know if you're coming or going. You come at things with an energy that is mismatched, and it shows. It shows to others, and it shows in other people's reactions. It shows to you and how things land inside of you.
Now, this transit very specifically, Sun square to Neptune, tests boundaries. What will often happen under this influence is that you will feel the consequences of not having upheld or clarified your boundaries. It would be very easy—deeply tempting, in fact—to focus on what other people are doing, how other people may be trampling on your boundaries, or how other people are wrong. And yeah, there's value in that. That's important information.
But what I would contend is even more valuable is reflecting on how or whether you are clear about your boundaries, how or whether you've held your boundaries, how or whether you've heeded the signs when people have trampled upon your boundaries in the past, or maybe you've got that friend who's never really trampled on your boundaries before, but you've seen them do it to like 20 other people. And you just think, what, you're so special it'll never happen to you? You think that the other people deserved it? Nobody knows. We do crazy shit. We are humans.
So Sun square Neptune tests your boundaries. A lot of people experience exhaustion, especially if you've been feeling burned out, tapped, overwhelmed. This transit can just come in to find you in a state of, pretty much, fucking exhaustion. So, if you need to sleep, my friend, take a damn nap. Maybe you can't take a nap, but you can try to adapt your plans and your approach to be a little more restorative and not so going hard. This is not a time for powering through. It's just not, okay?
The Sun square to Neptune can put you in situations where what you need most is nourishment, but what you're getting is starved out. And so do what you can to support your body and your psyche and your spirit through that. And of course, that actually depends on your personality and your circumstances, the people and situations that you're dealing with.
Sun square to Neptune is challenging, and it can find you in the throes of a parasocial fixation, putting somebody on a pedestal, dealing with the consequences of somebody else putting you on a pedestal. These things are about delusion, right? They're about just not being connected to reality. And in this current world where we are so chronically online, where AI has just infiltrated the culture in ways that most people are really not aware of even though they're directly impacted by—a transit like this is a big fucking deal.
The risk of misinformation and the dreaded disinformation is really high. This is not a time for taking risks with your health. This is a shitty time for consciousness-raising drugs. If you can avoid it, it's not a great time for making decisions. Now, that said, important news update: next week, Mercury goes Retrograde. If you want to sign a contract, if you want to make a permanent decision, if you're trying to plan a big trip, get it done this week as opposed to next week if you can—also, not on the 24th, the 25th, or the 26th if you can avoid it.
The Sun square to Neptune is exhausting. It is demoralizing. And therefore, it's not a good time for spiritual work. Now, if you have a spiritual practice and it is deeply integrated to your life, I'm not saying radically change your life. But I am saying when a transit like this occurs, I point my energy and my attention on more practical, grounded things. And so, if I am pursuing spiritual tools, I do the most earth-based and grounded, pragmatic things in my tool kit. And I encourage you to do the same.
Because the Sun is related to your vitality, which is deeply connected to your psychological wellness and your physical wellness, and Neptune functions like a sieve, this transit can find your vitality really weakened. And I've kind of said that in other ways, but I want to just really drill down on the importance of protecting your health. So this is not a time for health risks—mental health risks, physical health risks. If there's a conversation that's super important to you but you're just not ready to have it, let someone know. Let a person know. Have a boundary.
Again, this is all about boundaries because boundaries are a reflection of how well you know yourself. They're not intended to keep people out or to control situations and people. Instead, they're about self-containment, self-awareness. They are meant to be adaptable and responsive as opposed to rigid and controlling. Because we're dealing with Neptune, there is a real risk of you misunderstanding something or being deceived or being disillusioned or being demoralized—classic Neptune stuff. So not a great transit, right? Not super fun. We have these supportive other transits going on, but this really is going to test your boundaries.
A really good thing to do under this influence is less. So, if you can rest, if you can think about, "What is restorative for my system?"—for a lot of people, that's going to be listening to music. It's going to be getting your feet in a body of water. It's going to be taking a nap. It's going to be smelling the roses, if you can get your face near roses. Nature and creativity are really beautiful things to tap into this Sun square to Neptune—not as a panacea, but as a way to reconnect you to the most simple truths that exist, your most simple access point to beauty and spirituality. That's really what Neptune wants. Neptune wants simplicity.
And so many of us—in our over-intellectualization of life, we tell ourself that simple things are silly things, or they're stupid things. And they're not. Also, silly and stupid—you know, time and place. Not inherently bad, just for the record. But hanging out in the moment, not doing anything, not fixing any problems, being present and receptive and adaptive to how you feel, what you think, the breeze, the energy in a space—whatever it is—that's actually an important skill in this modern world. And it's a good time to cultivate it when the Sun is square to Neptune.
And that brings us to our final transit of the week. It's happening on Saturday, June 27th, at exactly 9:50 p.m. Pacific Time. And we have the perfect—like, the perfect—transit to happen on the heels of that Sun square to Neptune. We've got Mars sextile to Jupiter. Now, Mars sextile to Jupiter is happening with Mars at very anaretic 29 degrees of Taurus and 34 minutes, forming a sextile to Jupiter at the same degrees of Cancer.
So, again, we are going peak Taurus, peak Cancer energies. But this is really positive. It's really lovely. What we have the capacity for is to mobilize and act on our values, our needs for security, our needs for nurturance, care, and love. Fucking gorgeous, right? Now, listen. Listen. Mars is not the sensitive guy of the zodiac. Mars is about assertion and aggression and competition. Mars is ego.
And so a good use of this energy is flirting, hooking up, playing sports, going dancing, taking a run—doing something with your body that helps to connect you to your body, that helps to connect you to other people, that helps to be life-affirming and joyous. If you do this in a way that does not reflect your boundaries and your values, eh, it's not ideal, but get in there and get what you can while the getting is good is what I say because this is fun energy. It's fun energy if you've got Pride events happening this weekend. It's fun energy if you're just hanging out alone with yourself and listening to music in your bedroom and dancing.
This transit is fortifying, so the opposite of what I just said about Sun/Neptune. It's really good for working on and with your vitality and your health. So Mars is virility more than vitality. It's very similar. But when it's sextile to Jupiter, we have a burst of energy. Jupiter helps to restore, reform, and heal. And so, if there's something going on with your physical health, this transit is for you. It is an excellent transit for starting something new or furthering a way that you are engaging with your physical health, with plans, and with visions for the future.
If you are part of a community or if you're trying to really create an idea that you can mobilize on, this transit is for you. It's fucking fabulous. A lot of people are going to simply be trying to recover from that Sun square Neptune. And so you might kind of hit a fucking dip this week and then bounce back, which is my greatest hope. If you dip, may you bounce back. Mars sextile to Jupiter is fun. It's flirty. It's lovely. And there's no downside to it unless, I guess, you used this energy to overcommit yourself and overdo it. That's the big risk with Mars sextile to Jupiter stuff.
Now, there's one more thing I'll say. Mars is related to war and conflict and battles. And when we see a positive transit like that, like this particular one, it's easy to think about all the wonderful things that can happen in your life and with people that you care about and are connected to you. But it also can move forward wars without a whole lot of resistance. It can move forward conflicts without a whole lot of resistance. Now, to me, this is terrible. This is fucking awful. I would expect to see a, quote unquote, "bad transit" or a "hard transit" to articulate that.
But there are many people who fucking love war. War is big business. People are getting super rich on war. There are people who are nothing but happy to extend violence in all its forms. We have to be aware that when we are looking at these energies and we're trying to understand the world around us, that there are many ways of understanding the world depending on your perspective.
And so I am certainly going to be paying attention to the advancement and development of conflicts during this transit in the hopes that I see things improving from my perspective instead of getting worse. But being curious is the best way to engage with understanding astrology and the world around you. And so we've got this supportive burst of energy. Where will that burst take us? TBD. Am I right? It's TBD.
All right. That's your horoscope, my friends. That's it for this week. As always, you can read the transcript for this episode on my website within about 24 hours. And you can catch the video version of this episode on the free page of my Patreon, on YouTube, or whatever podcast platform supports video episodes, if you're into video. Right? Not everybody is into fucking video.
I hope you take really good care of yourself and others this week, and I will talk to you in just a couple of days. Bye.
