Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.

Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. This week, we are looking at the astrology of June 14th through the 20th. And again, this week, I am going to quote Mama Lulu and say may the bottoms find the tops and the tops find the bottoms. It's Pride. Also, all hail the switches. I would love to wish you a happy, happy Pride. May you live your life without constraints, with lots of love and sex and good times and community. Here's to a radically pro-Transgender Pride.

And as I always do during the month of Pride, I want to invite my Queer listeners to go ahead and send me a question to be considered for the podcast because I am centering Queer lives, Queer folks on the podcast in the midweek episodes. So go ahead and send me a question through the contact form on my website if you're interested in that.

And in case you didn't know, this podcast is kind of a family affair for me. Me and my partner work on this show together. We have other help as well, but he always edits the horoscope. And so, this week, I'm going to be celebrating him because it is his birthday. And so, if you are a longtime lover of the horoscope episodes, feel free to drop a happy birthday to my beloved forever fiancé. He is a writer, an editor, an incredibly smart, loving, weird human, and he is out and proud as a Transgender man. And we love our very Queer life. I hope you love your Queer life. And if you're not Queer, I hope you love your life, too. Not everybody has to be all the things, right? Okay. Okay. So, if you want to wish my forever fiancé a happy birthday and a happy Pride, feel free to do it wherever you make your comments on the internets.

Okay. Let's dive into this week's forecast. We start with a New Moon in Gemini. At exactly 7:54 p.m. Pacific Time, we have a New Moon in Gemini, with the Sun and Moon meeting at 24 degrees of Gemini. Okay. Listen. There's a lot of really lovely things that I want to tell you about with this chart, and then there are some things to look out for, okay?

So the big-picture news is that when the Sun and Moon meet, a.k.a. on a New Moon, it's a good time for planting seeds and setting intentions. And I spend enough time on the internet to know that people make a really big deal of Full Moons and not so much of New Moons. And this is not wise because the Full Moon comes, and it brings up emotions that you have to deal with. It's dramatic. But the New Moon is when you plant the seeds that become drama during the Full Moon. So, if you paid more attention to the New Moon, your life might get a lot easier. You may be living a life that is more intentional because that is what New Moons are about. They're about intention. They're about planting seeds. So be mindful about what seeds you plant this New Moon.

This particular New Moon in Gemini, great time to check in with your ideas, with your curiosity, with how you are adapting or not—I'll say more about this in a minute. But the very cool thing that's happening this New Moon is that the Sun and Moon are both forming a sextile to Chiron. It's not exact, but it's there. And so what we have is the opportunity for healing, and not in a confronting, painful way, necessarily, although there's other things going on that could change that, but instead in a way where you are capable of really tapping into some of your deep insecurities or self-worth issues, some of your core wounding, and be intentional about how you engage with it, the stories you tell yourself around it, whether or not they're still true.

The curiosity you hold around your beliefs, insecurities, and emotions—you know, it's so easy to lose curiosity as you age, and it's a terrible fucking idea because the world continues to grow; you continue to grow and evolve. That's just life. So this New Moon is a really excellent time to reignite the spark of curiosity. So be curious about what hurts, not to try to make things worse, but be curious about, well, why does it hurt? How do you know it hurts? We have so many habits that really are maladaptive coping mechanisms. This New Moon is a fucking great time to interrogate those, to look at the ways in which you may be leaning into habits that promote pain and discord inside of you or in your life. This is a really useful New Moon, okay? It really, really is.

Now, something to be mindful of is that there's a couple of transits that are actually quite stressful that are in the New Moon chart. We've got our beautiful Sun/Moon sextile to Chiron—just want to remind you—lovely, helps you to deal with challenges. And that's the transit we want to pay attention to. That's the aspect we want to pay attention to, that there's so much support for dealing with things head-on. But deal with things head-on you may need to because Venus is building up towards an opposition to Pluto. Jupiter is building up to a square to Chiron. And then we have a Mercury square to Saturn also active in this chart.

And the big-picture implications of this is that you may be really triggered. You may be really triggered, and it might be around some scarcity-driven ideas that you have about yourself, your relationships, or the world. It may be that you are like, "I need to take on everything all at once," and then fucking run into some major problems because, while one can do everything all at once, one can rarely do everything all at once well. So what you want to do is watch that impulse to just get it over with, just keep on going, even when you know you shouldn't.

And then we have the tension of that Venus/Pluto opposition to contend with, which is active throughout the week and exact later in the week. And what we have with this aspect is the risk of power struggles. And those power struggles may be your relationships. It may be feeling confronted around your money issues. It may be about your values in general. And certainly, in the world that we are living in now, June 2026, we are all being confronted to consider our values system and how we are living in accord with our values or not.

This New Moon is a good time to join a cause or a community if that's something you've been interested in, to explore the possibility of what might work for you, how you might show up. A New Moon in Gemini is a great time to set intentions, but this New Moon, you want to watch out for your motivations. If you're motivated by terror, if you're motivated by insecurity, if you're motivated by vengefulness, if you're motivated by impatience, your motivation will just generate more of the same.

So take the time—just slow down a minute. Take the time to hang out with the story you're telling yourself about why you're doing what you're doing or why you're not doing what you're not doing, and ask questions. Just be fucking curious. You know what I mean? It sounds so small, but it's huge. Be curious. Hang out without needing to defend or justify. Just hang out with what you feel, what's motivating you, and how you know you feel it, how you know what's motivating you. The question of "How do I know I feel this?" sounds so simple, but it really can reveal a lot to you about your inner landscape. And this helps you to engage with others and in situations in ways that are more clean. So it doesn't guarantee that everything goes your way, but it does guarantee that you have greater self-awareness that's not just intellectual, but it's emotional. And emotional self-awareness is really foundational for being able to sleep at night, truly.

So watch out for your reactions. Watch out for defensiveness and insecurity because these really strong impulses are compelling. They're really, really compelling, but they are not reliable narrators of your life. They actually just close off curiosity, which also shrinks your capacity for adaptability. Curiosity, adaptability—these are peak Gemini positive qualities that we all want to adopt in our lives and, in particular, this particular New Moon.

That brings us to the 15th, the following day, where we have a Venus sextile to Uranus. This transit is also very much active in our New Moon chart. Venus sextile to Uranus is lovely. It empowers you to be connected to your values in a way that is innovative and progressive. Venus sextile to Uranus is a great time to keep it spicy, to experiment with ways of flirting, hooking up with people that you are interested in, and that interest could be sexual, and it can be romantic. And it also can just be sensual. So it could be platonic or about the arts or your relationship to yourself in some meaningful way.

This is a great time for playing with the way you look, playing with creativity, the arts, whatever that looks like for you, listening to—I don't know—a genre of music you don't usually listen to. There's not just the joy of experimentation and tapping into different ways of experiencing beauty and your senses, but there's also the kind of added benefit of, when you open up to new things, you have no way of knowing what's going to come. You have no way of knowing how it's going to feel. And that on its own is really cool because there's so much that is out of control in the world today. There's so much that's out of control in your life. There are so many things that we cannot know the answer to. And there's something really life-affirming and healthy about finding creative, low-risk ways of being open to what you don't know and experimenting with how it feels. It's an important skill to develop.

And that brings us to the last exact transit of this week. We have, on the 17th, a Venus opposition to Pluto. This transit is exact at 1:38 p.m. Pacific Time, and it's with Venus at 4 degrees and 7 minutes of Leo forming an exact opposition to Pluto at the same degrees of Aquarius. Okay. This transit is hard; I'm not going to lie. And again, we've been feeling it all week. It's been building up to this point, and now here we have it.

Venus opposite to Pluto is confronting. Whenever we have an opposition—in this case, we're talking about by transit. Whenever we have an opposition by transit, what occurs is we experience the transit in the projected form. So that means in relationship. So it can be us against them or me against you or some version of that. This is not to say that you are Pluto or you are Venus. We are all all of it. However, you may experience a relationship dynamic in which you feel like you're leading with your values, and someone else is abusing power. You may feel like you need to use your power to create some sort of meaningful change or emotional confrontation, and somebody else is trying to keep it really surface or is unwilling or unable to meet you where your values live.

Venus opposite Pluto can kick up bullshit fights. And when I say bullshit fights, I mean fighting about things that aren't really that deep, more like tone or, "What did you really mean when you said x?" It's defensiveness. It's insecurity. It's power struggles. It's not really about the content. It's about the energy of the power struggle. In that case, if you are experiencing that, all that you can do is your best to not be the drama and not be the problem. That's it. Now, I am not inherently against drama, for the record. Sometimes drama is what we need to bring about healing, to bring about honesty.

However, this is not the time for rigorous honesty, and it's not because you're not supposed to be honest during this transit. It's because it's not enough to speak the truth. We must be kind about it. We must be kind. And so some people will be using power in an unjust or unjustified way by, quote unquote, just "telling the truth." Don't be that person. Some truths need to be said in different ways to different people so that they can be actually heard. If you are using the truth to beat up on someone, that's not a great use of truth. Not all tools are appropriate for all building projects, if you will. Okay. I'm going sideways with my metaphors, but you get it.

So Venus opposite Pluto, again, may bring up power struggles. It is also possible, if you have someone in your life or if you are somebody who has a tendency to abuse power, to be really aggressive and punishing, that you may be engaged in a dynamic like that. Do your best to not be punishing to other people. And if somebody is treating you like shit, my advice is get away from that dynamic if you can.

This transit can kick up the very real issues that exist in a relationship between you and somebody else or between us and them. And in that case, we may need to fight. We may need to really show up in defense and protection of what we value. In that case, just be mindful of the dangers around you. Venus opposite Pluto is a "don't start shit if you don't want shit" kind of transit. And sometimes you can't help but have shit. Sometimes shit needs to be stirred. That's life, right? Again, similar to what I said about the New Moon, we want to be intentional about our motivations. We want to be intentional about what we're calling forth and what we're putting out. Calling forth, putting out—important to think about both.

In regards to so much of what we're hearing developing in the news about El Nino, about food shortages and other shortages that appear to be quite imminent, if you decided to engage in prepping this week, that's actually a pretty good use of this energy, as long as you are prepping resources based on your values and not only out of your survival fears. Pluto can drive us to terror, and when you're in a state of terror is not when you are thinking the most clearly. It is not when you are at your most wise and generous.

So, if you are going to engage in prepping behaviors, just make sure you're not doing it alone and you're not being hyper-individualistic about the way you go about it. Pluto in Aquarius is very much related to individualism—toxic individualism—as much as it is related to community. And I know that astrology on the internet claims that Pluto is all about community. Pluto is traumatic, okay? Pluto is confronting. So it is about the problems we have in community. It's about the problems and the dangers of communities. It's not just about, oh, you know, we heal all problems related to community. That's not how Pluto works. My friends, that's not how Pluto works.

And an interesting thing about the zodiac sign of Aquarius is that it is both related to individualism and community. Pluto is all about extremes. You know what I'm saying? It's about extremes. And so what is community made of? Individuals. And this is where we get into the real meat of the Aquarian archetypal energy, which is about freedom, autonomy, the space where we can embody how we are unique or quirky or queer or whatever else Aquarius governs—and I mean queer as in queer, not queer as in Gay. Queer as in, "That's odd." That's Aquarius.

And so it's really important, when we go through a Venus opposition to Pluto, that we pay attention to what's happening in communities around the world and, much more locally, communities that we are a part of and that we are adjacent to, because there's likely to be power struggles and messiness. Messiness and power struggles in community is not an indicator that community doesn't work. Community is made up of individuals, and wherever you go, my friend, there you are. So, if you are somebody who gets defensive when you're told what to do, and then you go into community, guess what's going to fucking happen. It doesn't matter who you're around. You will get defensive because someone will tell you what to do.

Here's the thing about community. It's made up of individuals with all of our shit. And so learning how to be in community requires us to learn how to navigate our own shit, our own triggers, both in how we feel and how we behave, and to be intentional about who we build with. Just because community is important, which most of us can agree upon, doesn't mean that all communities are a match for all individuals.

This transit of Venus opposite Pluto is one I'm definitely paying attention to for the development of world events, in particular around women's rights and Queer rights. And Queer is a really big umbrella that encompasses Trans, Nonbinary, Gay—you know, Gay is a really big umbrella on its own. But you know what I'm saying—all the rights. And why do women's rights and Queer rights get clumped together? Because in patriarchy, if you're not a cis man, your rights are up for debate, right? Some bullshit, but it's true.

And so a Venus opposition to Pluto, in particular in these kinds of volatile times that we're living in, can indicate a loss of rights or a power struggle around rights. So, if you are engaged in the struggle for liberation for any of these groups, this may be a time of great gains and striding or struggles and setbacks. Thus is the fucking cycle of life.

Now, one last thing I'll say about this transit is that if you don't feel safe in the company of a person, my advice to you is to remember my little rule: don't process with people you don't trust. So, if you don't feel safe, leave if you can. Do your best to leave. This is not a time to put yourself in dangerous situations without real clarity about why you're doing it. And Venus opposite Pluto—it can be emotionally dangerous. It can be dangerous on a lot of levels. Be a good enough friend to yourself that you protect yourself. Be a good friend to others, that you look out for their welfare. Throughout all of this, we want to stay connected to our values. That's the move. Stay connected to your values.

And, my friends, that's your horoscope for this week. Now, I didn't give you the TL;DR at the beginning because, eh, do I forget? Yes. Am I forgetful? Sometimes, yes. And so here is your TL;DR right now. Be open to healing and curious about what you think, what you say, and how you feel. This will promote adaptability. Be willing to experiment and try new things, and check your motivations before you engage in struggle, staying rooted in your values.
