Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.

Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. We are looking at the astrology of April 26th through May 2nd of 2026. There's a lot to talk about. There's a lot of meaningful shifts and big emotions. But last week, the astrology was so much, and I didn't tell you about something very, very important that happened on Saturday, the 25th, at 5:05 p.m. Pacific Time. That is when Uranus moved into Gemini, okay?

So Uranus hangs out in a zodiac sign for about seven years at a time, and it has been in Taurus since 2018. So really important shit has occurred in this period. Uranus has now moved into Gemini, where it will stay for approximately seven years. Uranus—let's talk about it. Uranus governs a lot of things. So Uranus is the planet of innovation. It's the planet that governs technology and rebellion and revolution. It governs your central nervous system. It governs all manner of innovation, so innovation around technology and stuff like that but also innovation within community, how we relate to each other, how we create systems or we avoid or evade systems as a means to be closer together, to work with each other.

The interesting thing about Uranus is that it both speaks to the ways in which we are deeply connected and how our interconnection is the bedrock of community. And Uranus also teaches us about our individuality because it is so much a planet associated with independence and individuality. So there's some kind of interesting mixed messages and paradoxes involved in Uranus.

Uranus is queer. Now, I don't mean Gay. I mean queer, just odd, unexpected, unpredictable. Now, Uranus is moved into Gemini. Gemini governs communications. And how do we communicate today in 2026? Through the internet a lot of the times—not exclusively, thank God, but a lot of the times. And so we can expect major changes with the internet, with technology in general. And we all know that AI is a fast-developing issue in our world and, I would say, an exceptionally dangerous one.

Uranus in Gemini indicates that things are going to really speed up with the development of technology and our access to it. The way that that impacts you as an individual and us as a collective is going to be really, I think, deeply felt by most people quickly. So you may have already noticed that when you grab your phone to do the things you've historically always done, it feels different now. Maybe you feel different about it. Maybe the space that you're entering in online feels different and looks different.

Things are changing, and they're going to change quick because Uranus moves quick and Gemini moves quick. And so the combo is lightning fast. And Uranus in Gemini meets Pluto, which is also in an air sign, and we have Saturn and Neptune in fire. So what does air and fire do? It makes a bigger fucking fire. That's what it does. And so, again, we can expect things to move really quickly. Uranus in Gemini will speed up how we communicate, what we communicate, and so much of our personal connections and our access to people.

Fun facts—last time Uranus was in Gemini was 1941 through '49. We're talking about the second half of World War II, and we're talking about the Cold War. Previous to that, Uranus was in Gemini during the Civil War in the United States. Previous to that, Uranus was in Gemini during the Revolutionary War. So you can see that Uranus in Gemini has a really big impact on the United States—on the world, because World War, right? But also on the United States. And that's because of Uranus being in Gemini in the U.S. Sibley chart.

So, for better and/or for worse, we can expect major sweeping changes in the U.S., not just from the top down but from within the populace. There may be increased pressures. Things move fast when Uranus is in Gemini, and some of that is how people come together with and for each other, how we communicate and the sense of urgency or pressure that we feel to get free or to help others get free.

And so we can expect revolution, innovation, and rebellion in this period. But like always, we don't know whose definition of liberation we're talking about. We don't know whose definition of freedom we're fighting for or is going to win because most people believe that they are fighting for freedom—now, maybe just for their freedom for them and their friends, maybe their freedom to destroy things or to oppress and repress people and destroy the planet. They want the freedom to do that. Everybody wants freedom.

When Uranus moves into Gemini, we tend to see, certainly in the United States, a pressure-cooker effect. When it comes to Uranus, as I said, it's the planet of the unpredictable. We don't want to waste a lot of energy trying to predict the unpredictable. But what we do want to trust and know is that things are changing, and how you engage with those changes requires real curiosity and adaptability, core Gemini gifts.

Strive to be curious about your own reactions. Strive to be curious about your own engagement. Strive to be curious about the ways in which the world is changing. We get to evolve our perspectives and our opinions as new information presents itself. I think it's a great thing to change your mind, not to flip-flop based on trends, but to learn something new and let it change you. That's kind of wonderful, isn't it?

Adaptability is called for in this period, and as I said, it's kind of a long period. So stay curious. Stay communicating with people that are your friends, contacts, colleagues, comrades—whatever it is. Stay communicating because this period really will require that we stay connected to each other. Now, again, the ways in which we connect may meaningfully change because of not just Uranus in Gemini, but we have this Pluto in Aquarius out of bounds, a placement that is very much related to the surveillance culture that we all find ourselves in—not all of a sudden, but wow, things have shifted. And they are shifting in the wrong direction, unfortunately, right now.

So, again, try to be curious. There's lots to learn about Uranus. And the best way to learn about what to expect from Uranus in Gemini is to look back at history because it's happened before. That's if you want to know about the world. That's if you want to understand the planet and its impact on humanity. If you want to understand what Uranus in Gemini is going to mean for you, then what you want to do is look at the house that holds early degrees of Gemini. So, if you're not using whole-sign houses, then you might have the zodiac sign of Gemini scattered across a couple of houses. And you want to keep in mind that because this planet takes so long to move through the degrees, you only gotta be working about the first, let's say, three, four degrees for now.

Okay. Now, let me give you your TL;DR, your quickie overview of the week ahead. And then we will dive headfirst into this week's forecast, which has some really lovely bits and some more challenging parts as well. This week, you're going to want to practice empathy and keep an open mind and expect intensity. We're still feeling, on Sunday the 26th, that Sun square to Pluto that was exact on the 25th. And so we're starting the week with intensity. We're ending the week with a Full Moon in Scorpio, so you do the math. So we're starting the week by practicing empathy and keeping an open mind and expecting intensity, and you are well advised to strive to meet the moment with the willingness to heal. Whether it's easy or challenging circumstances, meeting the moment with that mindset will really help you with the astrology of this week.

Okay. So the first exact transit of this week occurs on Sunday, April 26th. We've got two transits on this day. Mercury forms an exact square to Jupiter at 11:33 a.m., with Mercury at 18 degrees of Aries and 21 minutes. Shortly before that, Venus at 3 degrees of Gemini and 7 minutes forms an exact sextile to Neptune at the same degrees of Aries.

So big picture—this is a great time for loving on people. Sun square Pluto—you may have been embroiled in power struggles. You may have acted weird. Things may have been said or done that were a little sketchy. This is a good time for having a real conversation with somebody, for practicing empathy through how you show up for yourself and with others.

Venus sextile to Neptune is a lovely transit. It can intensify your Spidey-senses, your spiritual and intuitive senses. It's a good time for working with energy and any kind of spiritual content, basically. The reason why is because it intensifies your empathy, your connection to humanity. It pairs your values and your ideals in such a way that you are just kind of able to flow with things that have real meaning to you. It can also make you just a lot more sensitive. Now, this transit can coincide with runaway crushes or feeling like your intuition about who's calling before the phone rings is a bigger sign than it is. But those are not very deep problems. It's a lovely transit.

As I said, Mercury is also squaring Jupiter. Now, this transit has pros and cons to it. This transit, on the one hand, is great for learning. It can really mean that your mind is open and that you are in the presence of ideas that are expressed in ways that are really expansive for you. Because Mercury is your mind and Jupiter is big concepts, this transit can give you the friction you need to get it, to have something explained to you or shown to you in such a way that it just clicks.

It's a great time for reading because Mercury is your mind and your ability to concentrate, take in information, make sense of that information, and Jupiter synthesizes. So your ability to synthesize information can be strengthened by this transit. It's a good time for speaking up, putting yourself in social situations that are maybe a little intimidating, because this transit gives you a little boost of confidence. But it doesn't just give you a boost of confidence. It also gives a boost to the people around you so everyone can be a little friendlier, a little nicer, a little more outward or outgoing. That's the positive.

The negative is some people are going to be obnoxious—extra obnoxious—during this transit. And that's because Mercury square to Jupiter can lead to arrogance, kind of soapboxing to people, trying to force your ideas down other people's throats. Listen. You might be super smart, and your ideas might be superior. However, it's not just about communicating to other people; it's communicating in a way that they will listen to or that they can hear. And if somebody is displaying to you that they are not willing or able to listen to you, it's kind of on you to pay attention to that. Otherwise, you're just hammering somebody with ideas, and that doesn't foster understanding or connection.

So this is one of those transits that reminds you to listen, and to listen to what people are saying and what they're not saying, to listen to yourself. You may jump to conclusions. You may aggrandize your capacity or your ideas, and what that means, practically speaking, is you might be like, "Yeah, I can totally buy that. I'll have money later," or, "I'm going to make the plan to drive there in four hours," when, really, it takes seven. So you want to just be mindful of that risk and tendency when making plans.

This is not a good time to put together a piece of furniture that takes a lot of concentration, because Jupiter will not help you to have the focus that a person needs to do a tedious, annoying task.

That brings us to Venus trine to Pluto. This is a lovely transit, a sweetie-pants transit from Venus to Pluto. Venus was just doing something sweetie-pants to Neptune. And we can expect that, because we have the outer planets at early degrees of fire and air signs. So we're going to see these kind of clustered transits when things are both challenging and supportive. And right now, they are supportive. So tap in.

Venus trine Pluto is a great transit for vibing. It's a good time for a first date. It's a good time for making art or taking in the beauty and magic of something because Pluto brings depth to your capacity to enjoy people and places and things, and Venus gives you the desire to enjoy. Venus is about your values, and Pluto, again, is about depth. And so there's a capacity here to—I don't know—organize your finances in a way that meaningfully represents what you care about, what your values are.

You may purchase something that is a meaningful investment in the world or in you, in your life and what you're trying to build. Venus trine to Pluto is just a great time for spreading the love, connecting with people that you have meaningful feelings for, and for making art that moves you. And that's it for April. That's the end of April.

And now we go to May 1st. Now, on May 1st, there is a lot to talk about. So May 1st—just as an important little aside—is also known as May Day, which heralds the start of spring, also known as International Workers' Day. So May Day, Full Moon in Scorpio, and—just fun fact—this month of May starts and ends with a Full Moon. So, on the 1st and on the 31st, we're going to have Full Moon both of those dates, making this kind of an intense, emo month. I mean, it's not as dramatic with the transits as April was. This has been a really intense month. But big feelings. Big emotions.

So, at 10:23 a.m., we have a Full Moon in Scorpio, with the Moon at 11 degrees and 21 minutes of Scorpio. I'm going to pull up the chart, and we're going to get into it in a minute. But first let me tell you that, later that same morning, at 11:45 a.m. Pacific Time, Venus forms an exact sextile to Saturn. This is a grounding and stabilizing transit that empowers you to better connect to creating and protecting stability and security in your life. Lovely.

We also have a Mercury conjunction to Chiron. This is happening at 27 degrees and 33 minutes of Chiron, and it's exact at 1:08 p.m. Pacific Time. Now, this transit is much more confronting. It's not the best news in town for a Full Moon in Scorpio, but there are certainly aspects of it that we can use to our advantage. Over on my Patreon, we are having kind of a big conversation about Chiron and how there's really just not a lot of information about Chiron out there, and we're unpacking Chiron in general. So you can join us over there for that conversation.

But to stay focused, Mercury conjunction to Chiron is confronting because Chiron is connected to your core wounds. It's those things that are just kind of a part of you that your relationship to that insecurity or that wounding—it evolves with time and effort, but it doesn't go away. And when Mercury sits on top of Chiron, what we tend to have is you find yourself in a situation where you're thinking about it, where you are interacting with this insecurity or this wound relationally with other people because Mercury is so much about people that we are in some kind of relationship with. It's usually friendshippy-style. So it's communications-based is basically what we're going for here.

Mercury conjunction to Chiron is heavy and intense. Mercury conjunction to Chiron—it will deepen your thinking, but not in a Plutonian way where it's just generally deeper, but more in a way where you find yourself kind of focused on this core wound inside of you. Now, because it's in the zodiac sign of Aries, it's likely to be related to your relationship to passion, motivation, ambition. It may be related to sex or sexuality or your body in general, your feelings about embodiment or about your meat suit itself.

Mercury conjunction to Chiron is a time where you may have healing conversations or you may have conversations that just kind of activate core woundings; in other words, they trigger you. It's really important—and this is doubly true because it's a Scorpio Full Moon—that you recognize the difference between a trigger and a trauma. They can feel just as bad as each other. But what a trauma does is it literally traumatizes you. It is an event that, of its own volition, regardless of your past, would be trauma, versus a trigger is something that activates a pain or a struggle in your past. And so your reaction and your experience of it is not just about what's happening in the moment, but it is about things that happened in the past that likely have nothing to do with the person or the situation you were actively in. So it's important to recognize the difference between a trigger and a trauma so that you can handle them in an appropriate way.

So that's happening during the Scorpio Full Moon. Let's talk about the Scorpio Full Moon. We've got Saturn and Neptune. They're doing their fucking thing. They're hanging out with each other. We know what time it is, right? We're in a time where we're dealing with moral quandaries, where we're struggling to understand how to move forward, given the messy nature of our needs and our circumstances. It's a really heavy and heartfelt period. That is in our backdrop.

A Full Moon in Scorpio is always going to be an intense one because Scorpio is intense, and not just because it's dramatic. It's intense because it speaks to that part of you that is private. It's the emotions that you're not necessarily comfortable processing or sharing with other people, the stuff that you have such mixed feelings or maybe mixed needs around that you really don't know how to place yourself within them.

And what this can do is bring up a lot of not just emotions but maladjusted coping mechanisms because, whenever we're not consciously coping, we tend to unconsciously cope. Even if you're shoving things down, that's an unconscious coping mechanism. So our unconscious coping mechanisms are not our wisest. They're not our best evolved. In fact, they're unconscious, so just—we're rolling the die here. You're acting from very young parts of you when those parts are kind of driving the car.

And in particular, with this Full Moon, we've got the Moon and Sun at 11 degrees of Scorpio and Taurus, respectively, and they're forming a T-square to Pluto. Now, it is wide. It is a wide one, but it is within orb of consideration for me. Pluto is at 5 degrees of Aquarius and 30 minutes right now. So this only serves to deepen and intensify the power and potential of this Full Moon. Now, the power might mean that there are power struggles, that you are really just having a hard time processing your feelings. You may find yourself really wrestling with things in your past and what you think the other person thought or felt or what you should have done or what you didn't do or whatever the fuck, whatever the fuck. Right?

Fixating on the past is something that we all do, and it's a stress response to not being in acceptance or alignment with your actions. This is the thing. When I tell you to let go, I'm not saying don't care. I'm not saying give yourself carte blanche to fuck up and fuck around. What I'm saying is the past is done. It is out of your control. Five seconds ago is gone forever. The past is gone. So it is not your right or your responsibility to change it. It's unchangeable.

But what you can do is, if you stop being in such a state of resistance, if you stop fighting yourself and a past that cannot be changed, you have the energy to actually accept what happened. And acceptance is the foundation to learning from your experiences so you can evolve, so you can grow. That's really what life is about. And we have lots of evidence all over the world of how most people don't do that. But when you do do that, you're not instantly happy or healed, but you are on the path to being in right relationship with yourself, which makes it easier to deal with whatever shit you have to deal with in life.

This Full Moon's potential is it's the power of Pluto. It's the power of Scorpio. It's of releasing, in a deep and meaningful way, unhealthy attachments. It's releasing, in a deep and powerful way, judgments, shame, resentments. And of course, this Full Moon can also activate those things and make them feel worse. You know the expression, "You've got to feel it to heal it"? It's like it has to get lit up in order for you to engage with it in a new way. You can't decide, "Okay. I'm going to be totally different around this thing that I've always been one particular way with," and then, when it happens, keep on acting that same old way. I mean, we do that. That's life.

But what happens when you get activated, when things get hard, is you are being challenged to meet that old hard thing in a new way. Life is about not avoiding making mistakes but instead learning how to make new mistakes over time. So you learn from the old mistakes. You start making new mistakes. You learn from those. You keep on growing. You keep on going. That's life. And that mindset, coming at this Full Moon with the Mercury/Chiron conjunction mindset of, "I am willing to explore hard things. I'm willing to stay with my messy emotions. I am willing to hold grace for other people not being perfect. And I don't need to punish myself or others"—now, that is the best-case scenario for this Full Moon in Scorpio.

It's intense. But luckily, we have Venus to help us. Venus is doing lots of lovely things this week. It's still doing lovely things in our Full Moon chart. And Venus is a planet that is associated with your values and with kindness, and it empowers you to be kind to yourself, to come at things with a little bit of patience. I mean, Venus is in Gemini right now, which is not the most patient placement. But it's still Venus, right? And Venus cares.

Because we have all of these Venus aspects to support us in this Full Moon chart, I just want to invite you to care about yourself. I know it sounds so simple, but is it easy? Is it something you practice, just caring about yourself? You don't need to know what to do all the time. You don't need to be right all the time. You don't. You don't need to get it right all the time. But you do need to care about yourself. Care about how it feels. Care about what you need. Care about the fact that it's hard. Care about the fact that you succeeded at something or that you've been experiencing joy for three full days, and you're like, "What the fuck? Oh, this is amazing."

This Full Moon in Scorpio is a time where you can shed things that don't serve you, including habits around abandonment of self. And we all know—it's like love is top of my mind. I'm teaching my class on alignment right now, and we're about to hit the section on love. And we all know that the opposite of love is not hate. It's apathy. It's not caring. And so not caring about yourself is a terrible cruelty and one to correct.

This Full Moon is going to inevitably still activate somatic responses inside of you. This is because we're dealing with a lot of Aries energy still, so it's very much in the body. So listen to your body. Listen to your body. Try to take care of your body. Try to navigate situations that may have nothing to do with your physicality, but to navigate them from inside of your body because that's where you live, because you're a person and you're alive. And one thing about being an alive human person is you are in a body. That's a thing that we all share. And so learning how to be in your body, to listen to your body, to honor your body, to care for your body, to steward your meat suit—these things are really valuable.

This Mercury/Chiron conjunction in Aries, with Mars and Saturn and Neptune also in Aries, during this very intense Scorpio Full Moon, is a powerful opportunity for you to meet yourself in the moment. And it's an opportunity I hope you take.

Now, my friends, that's the end of this week's forecast. I hope you take really good care of yourself throughout the astrology of this week and you take whatever insights you are able to glean about yourself through these transits and apply them in process; apply them in action.

I'm going to run through the transits one more time, but hey, if you get value from this podcast, if you learn something or it is supportive to you, please do consider writing a review on whatever platform you listen to podcasts, and certainly do hit that Follow or Subscribe button. It does help independent DIY podcasts like this one. And if you want to learn more with me, you can join me over on Patreon, where we do lots of learning, lots of talking.

Okay. So, on the 26th, Venus forms a sextile to Neptune, and Mercury squares Jupiter. On the 28th, Venus trines Pluto. And then, on the 1st of May, we have a Full Moon in Scorpio, a Mercury/Chiron conjunction, and a Venus sextile to Saturn.

And that is your horoscope, my friends. Take good care of yourself and others, and I will talk to you in just a couple of days. Bye.
