Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.
Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. This week, we are looking at the astrology of February 8th through the 14th of 2026. But this is Episode Number 600. This is the 600th episode that I have created and published, and we've been doing that once a week or twice a week for years and years and years now. And I just wanted to take a moment to speak to something that is kind of core to my work.
I'm an astrologer, and I really, really, really care about astrology, the integrity of astrology, the use and practice of astrology. I love astrology. Astrology is, of course, my life's work. But it's also kind of not the point for me. The reason why I was drawn to astrology, other than it's amazing and fascinating and all the things, is because it's this really useful tool for understanding oneself, other people, relationships, situations, and the world at-large.
And what I have seen as the downfall of astrology is when people use it as a way to try to sidestep those things, to sidestep accountability to oneself, within relationships, and of course in our engagement in the world. And so I want to, on the air of the 600th episode of Ghost of a Podcast, just take a moment to remind you that understanding the transits, what's coming today, this month, this year, this decade—whatever it is that we're looking at—that is helpful, and it's interesting, and it's also not the same as doing the work.
In order to do the work, you've got to take what's interesting and use your editorial mind to try to suss out what is useful and what's a distraction, what's useful but maybe not useful right now. And when it comes to doing the work, astrology can be really helpful. It can be instructive. It can provide a container or a sense of a timeline. But it's not the same thing as follow-through. That follow-through is on you.
And the longer that I practice and use astrology, the more that I really have come to believe that it is emotional intelligence. It is emotional accountability. It is emotional presence that is the foundation of all growth and change, truly, because whether we're talking about healing from a traumatic childhood, overcoming a devastating loss, or dealing with systemic problems in society, we must emotionally get present and accept what is and what isn't. We must be willing to emotionally not just stay present but evolve. And that's hard. It takes effort, and it takes a willingness to outgrow parts of yourself and the people and situations that are attached to that. And that's really hard.
And so, as we use this tool of astrology here on Ghost of a Podcast and however else you're using it in your life, I want to remind you that astrology and anything else that's psychological or interesting is not enough. You must be willing to be emotionally present with things that are challenging, as well as things that feel good. And to do the work internally—that's not easy. If it was easy, the world would look dramatically different. The world would be different.
And so, as you're going to hear me talk about this week as Saturn enters into Aries—and there's a lot to talk about there—personal accountability is really important. But when I refer to personal accountability in some contexts of what we'll talk about, I am talking about your behavior, but never lose track, never forget that in order for your behavior to substantially and authentically change, underneath your behavior, your ideas, and even underneath that, your beliefs, your feelings, how you digest and process information and, again, feelings, must change—not just shift, not just react, but authentically change. And change is scary, and change is hard. And sometimes change is slow. But it's what's necessary. It's what's needed from you and from me now and tomorrow.
So, that all said, thank you so much if you've been listening to Ghost all the way through, if you've just joined me recently. Here's to 600 more episodes. Am I right? And as always, if you want to learn with me, if you want to deepen your understanding of astrology or woo or any of the other things that I do, then you can join me over on Patreon, where I drop a ton of educational content, and it is a space that I manage myself—it's not a place where I have somebody else managing it—so you can really pick my brain and deepen your understanding and use of astrology, psychic stuff. I'm doing a lot of teaching of the Tarot right now. So, yeah, join me over there at patreon.com/jessicalanyadoo.
Okay. Let's dive into this week's horoscope. So, as I said, we're looking at the astrology of February 8th through the 14th of 2026. And the first exact transit of the week starts on the 8th at exactly 1:49 a.m. Pacific Time. Now, we've been feeling this transit all weekend. So you were feeling it on Saturday. You are feeling it in exactitude here on Sunday, the 8th.
Listen. Venus square to Uranus can be very exciting, and it can be very disruptive. It can kind of go either way, and for some people, it'll be both. When Venus forms a square to Uranus, what happens is your values are tested. And the way that we talk about this and often experience it is through tests within your relationships. Now, the reason why values and relationships are connected is because so much of your values are expressed through the people you're close to and the way that your relationships function, like the way you behave, the shit you take, the dynamics that you center and prioritize in your relationships—you know, it's your values, essentially.
Much like your values are reflected in how you spend money and where you spend money, it's important to understand that, at core, Venus is related to what you value. And this is why, oftentimes, under this transit, what happens is you experience some sort of disruption, some sort of unexpected event or emotion, or a conversation kind of goes sideways on you, and it forces you to show up in ways you weren't planning on showing up. It forces you to confront or engage with dynamics between you and somebody else that you just weren't planning for.
And this can be upsetting, but it's also useful. It's also valuable. And that's because when we are authentic, when we accept reality for what it is, then we can make good choices. And so the disruptions that occur under this influence can be really useful to explore. And in truth, Uranus wants you to explore. That's the whole point of Uranus. It wants you to explore so that you can innovate, so that you can be free. And sometimes, if you are truly being free in a relationship or in regards to some other thing that reflects your values, you have to make a major change.
Now, it's hard to know for sure if the changes you want to make on and around this date are changes that are in your best interest because this transit can have you feeling really reactive, or it can have other people feeling really reactive. And that reactivity can show up as irritability, distraction, agitation. It could also show up as curiosity, playfulness, excitement. It just really depends on how this hits your birth chart and your relationships and you. And in case you aren't looking along on the video version of this podcast with me, Venus will be at 27 degrees of Aquarius and 28 minutes, and that means Uranus is at the same degrees of Taurus.
So Venus square Uranus is disruptive. It can change how you feel about the way you look. It can change your feelings about appearances in general. So, when I refer to appearances in this context, I'm not just talking about, again, your visage, how you look. I'm talking about how things appear to other people, like keeping up the peace, keeping up a very polite lie, trying to make things seem cool when in fact they're not that cool.
And so there may be some sort of reveal on or around this date. Be curious about it. Don't rush to conclusions because it's Uranus. Try to be curious. Because of the erratic and sometimes ecstatic vibes of Uranus, you want to make sure that you are open. And that means don't spend a shit ton of money, make major purchases. That means be open and willing to adapt. Learn something new. Try something new because Uranus can be quite experiential. And as a result of these things, your nervous system may be like, "Fuck. Why today?" It may make you feel taxed. That's rough.
If your nervous system is already at capacity, this transit—yeah, it's going to push that capacity. How you engage with yourself, with your relationships, how you navigate self-care as a foundation for showing up with and for other people and systems—that's all a reflection of your values. It's a reflection of your values, not just your circumstances. Understand that Venus square to Uranus wants you to face and confront your values, not your circumstances, but the things that you value enough to center in response or reaction to your circumstances.
One more thing. I know we're near Valentine's Day, which I know a lot of people love. I think it's a bullshit holiday that just makes people feel pressured, but whatever. It's love- and dating-oriented. Listen. Venus square Uranus is not a time for making things certain or exact. Now, the transit won't be in exactitude at all by Valentine's Day, but it's the week, right? And it stirs the pot. And so, if you've been questioning your relationship, if you are single and trying to date, if you are in a new situation, this transit is going to stir up thoughts and feelings and situations. Instead of rushing to make security where there's actually questions, try to actually be curious about the questions—not just the answers, but the questions themselves. Are you asking the right questions?
This is what I've learned after giving readings to people for the last 30 years: most of the time, people are asking the wrong questions. And when you ask the wrong questions, no matter what answer you get, you're unsettled. It doesn't quite scratch the itch. So be curious about the questions you're asking. Be curious about why. Be curious about what others are asking of you and from you—not, again, as a way to get to some sort of certainty or stability, which is something that Venus loves, but instead so that you can expand your understanding of yourself and your relationships, of yourself and certain of your behaviors or choices. Venus square to Uranus can help you learn. And so I want to invite you to want to damn learn.
Now, that brings us to Wednesday, February the 11th, when, at exactly 5:47 p.m. Pacific Time, the Sun forms an exact sextile to Chiron. This transit occurs with the Sun at 23 degrees of Aquarius and 21 minutes, forming an exact sextile to Chiron at the same degrees of Aries. This transit is an opportunity for you to come back to yourself. This transit empowers you to connect with parts of yourself that you have judgments around, that you have pain around, and to find a way to choose yourself.
As I've said countless times before and I'll say countless times again, what's hard for you is not what's wrong with you. And this transit helps you to really connect to that truth. What's hard for you can in fact be the nucleus of where you try the hardest, of where you have the most empathy and compassion for yourself and others, where you've grown the most, where you learn the most. So this transit, the Sun sextile to Chiron, is an opportunity for you to explore parts of yourself that you may have shied away from or held judgments around historically.
This is a really valuable set of energies to tap into. You may have opportunities for healing on and around this date, and that might come through scrolling past a post where somebody says something that you're like, "Ah, that's it. That speaks exactly to what I need to hear." It might be a really valuable conversation with a friend or your therapist. It may be a time where you just—something clicks inside of you, and you get it. So be open to subtle shifts that have meaningful impact on you and your life.
And that brings us to Friday, the 13th—Friday, the 13th. Whatever. I mean, it is what it is. Okay. On this date, at 4:11 p.m. Pacific Time, Saturn returns to Aries. Now, when I say Saturn returns to Aries, let me be clear. Saturn was last in Aries May 24th through September 1st of 2025. While Saturn retrograded back inro Pisces, we have been in Saturn in Pisces energies, but we have still been in a cycle of Saturn in Aries.
So this is a funny time with the outer planets. When they retrograde back, as they inevitably do, to the old sign after it entered into the new sign, we have this really important phase of development. What I want to focus on now is Saturn is back as of February 13th, 2026, in Aries, where it will stay until April 12th of 2028. The last time that Saturn was in Aries was approximately 29 years ago. That's how it works with Saturn. It stays in one sign for about two and a half years at a time, and it takes 29 years, approximately, to move all the way through all 12 of the zodiac signs.
When Saturn moves into a new sign, it's big fucking news. It's always big news, but this movement of Saturn into Aries is especially important. For those of you who have watched my Astrology of 2026 webinar, you know that this is an exceptionally important shift astrologically. Now, zero degrees of Aries is an important point in the zodiac. It's an opening point. What we know about the first zodiac sign, Aries, is that it is spring. It's the birth of something new and the birth of so much growth.
Saturn moving into Aries is not just Saturn moving into Aries. Very soon—very soon—Saturn is going to sit directly on top of Neptune, sparking a novel cycle in development astrologically. This has never happened before, that Saturn and Neptune have met in Aries, at zero degrees of Aries. This is new. And when something new happens in astrology, we all want to take notice. We are in exceptionally important and novel times. And what comes to pass is not just written. It will also meaningfully be a result of the choices we make and the actions we do or do not take.
If you have ever said to yourself, "I don't really matter. What I do doesn't matter," I want to emphatically say, nope, that's wrong. That's wrong. You do matter. And what you do or don't do, why you do it, how you do it, whether or not anyone can tell that you've done it or not, matters. It is consequential.
Now, Saturn moving into Aries is really important news. I'm going to tell you about it, but first, I want to speak to the astrology of it all. A lot of astrologers are going to be talking to you about how Saturn is in its fall in the zodiac sign of Aries. Let me tell you what. I'm not thinking about that, and I don't want you to think about that. It's important to understand that astrology is very technical. The practice and study of it is very technical. And as a humanistic astrologer—that's the kind of astrologer I am—what I strive to do is use astrology in a human-centered way.
So, if you're sitting around thinking about how Saturn is in its fall when it's in Aries or your Venus is in its fall when it's in whatever, then you start to think to yourself, "Oh, that means something bad. It means I'm bad. It means the transit is bad." And that's actually not useful. What's useful to know is we are here now. You—you—are here now. How you choose to show up, how accountable you choose to be, is on you. It's a reflection on you.
And whether or not Saturn is in its fall or it is exalted, that's technically very important, but practically speaking, on a human level, it's not that important. It's going to distract you from where your agency lies. And make no mistake that Aries, the fire cardinal sign governed by Mars, is all about agency. It's all about doing something. And Saturn is methodical. Saturn is, yes, also about doing something, but it's about planning. It's about considering. It's about building. Aries is like, "Instinct, action." And so there can be a tension there. But when is there not a tension with Saturn? Saturn is tense. So let's center on the parts that actually impact you and that you can use.
This period is challenging. And we can absolutely point to Saturn in Aries, Neptune in Aries, the Saturn/Neptune conjunction that's exact next week. We can point to all of these things and more to explain why. But before we do that, I want to say oh well. It's challenging, and yet here we are. Meet the challenge. You do not need to be perfectionistic. You do not need to be perfect. You do not need to get it right all the time. But you do need to take responsibility, accountability for how you strive to meet the challenge. That's it. And you don't have to meet the challenge like I do, and I don't have to meet the challenge like you do. We just need to try.
When Saturn is in Aries, we can put pressure on ourselves and on other people to make progress, to get it done, and to prove it. That's a downside of Saturn in Aries. But you don't need to get shit done quickly. You don't always need to make your efforts into something provable and material. And part of the lesson of Saturn in Aries is to explore where you're at with your knowledge and embodiment of those truths.
This is a consequential time, but in truth, when is it not a consequential time? This is a time where your actions and inaction will be consequential, where your willfulness and your ego—Aries stuff—is met with reality, consequences, the needs of the community, and the needs of those who you're responsible to and who are responsible to you. There's a collision that occurs here.
And again, may I gently remind you there is no zodiac sign that Saturn can be in that doesn't demand accountability. That's Saturn's whole jam. It's take responsibility for yourself. Take responsibility for what you said you'd do and who you want to be. That's Saturn. But in Aries, it requires embodiment. In Aries, it requires motion, movement, engagement. So we're not meant to contemplate, as maybe we would in Saturn and Pisces for the last two and a half years, but we're meant to engage, to take responsibility—Saturn—for your ambitions and your anger. It's very hard to do, especially if you're not particularly comfortable feeling ambitious or feeling angry or if you feel thwarted, which—Saturn in Aries can be associated with feelings of being thwarted.
The assignment of this transit is to be conscientious, to be intentional about your relationship to embodiment, your relationship to anger and ambition, to your passions and your sense of purpose. Saturn in Aries can help you, can help us all, to embody our passions and our purpose in a way that does not burn us up, that is sustainable, and that produces real results. In order to get there, you kind of gotta go through it to get to it. You've got to be willing to sit consequentially with accountability, with your own ego, with your own passions, with your own anger, and allow yourself to really connect with your sense of purpose. Saturn in Aries helps with that.
Now, is Saturn a light touch and a gentle lover? No, my friends, it is not. But that doesn't mean it's not helpful. Aries speaks to you as an individual. Now, Saturn—it's referred to as a social planet. I think of it more as a generational planet, but it is technically a social planet. And that is because Saturn is not just about you; it's about us. It's about the community. It's about family.
When we have Saturn in Aries, it's really important for you to take responsibility for the actions you take as an individual and the motivation underneath it, why you're doing what you're doing. And the truth of the matter is there are no guarantees. You can do the thing that is connected to a sense of purpose and meaning, and it's going to take risk. And there may be negative consequences. You could, out of fear, stop yourself from acting, wait for someone else to do it for you. And there will be consequences. And honestly, there's no guarantee that those consequences will be what you want, no matter what you fucking do.
And so this is a valuable time to bolster your willingness to act out of purpose, to make life plans, to build coalitions out of a sense of purpose and passion, and not just for some sort of assurance or proof that you are a good person, a smart person, a successful person—whatever the fuck it is, whatever it is you're yearning for. Everything you do, honestly, is a risk. It just is. It is a risk. Investing in security is a risk.
And Aries is connected to risk. It's one of the several zodiac signs that are really connected to risk, but Aries is connected to risk because it is about passionate action. It's about embodiment. And it's competitive by nature. And so can you dare to be true to yourself? Can you dare to show up in community and to be accountable for how you show up? Now, Saturn is a different way of understanding community than, say, Uranus or Aquarius vibes. Saturn is organized and structured society. But that's community, my friends. That's community.
So understand that wherever Aries falls in your birth chart, like especially, at this time, early degrees of Aries, that's where Saturn is falling. So it's activating that natal house. Saturn in Aries may form any number of aspects to any planet or point in your birth chart, so it's going to activate you in different ways than it is your friend, and it's going to activate you in different ways in early degrees than it will in later degrees, etc.
But when Saturn is in Aries, it is an opportunity to drill down on identity, to really take responsibility for who you are, and if you identify that you need to make changes to who you are so that you can be more of who you want to be, you don't waste your fucking time and energy in guilt, but instead, you tap into that Saturnine humility. You own your shit. You make your choices. You take your actions. Saturn in Aries.
It takes self-awareness and maturity to take action, to initiate things, to take risks, to even stay with your body, for a lot of us. Saturn in Aries can help you to cultivate self-mastery, embodiment, and impulse awareness and potentially impulse control. With Saturn in Aries, we can continue to expect things to move fast. Aries is related to militarism, and Saturn and Aries are both related to maleness and patriarchy in particular ways.
So you know what the time is we're living through, right? What I want you to focus on, at least in this early moment of Saturn in Aries, is what you're going to do about it, what you're going to do with this energy, because as I said, next week, on the 20th, Saturn and Neptune will meet. And I'm going to talk about it more in depth next week. But Saturn and Neptune meet approximately every 36 years. So this is not a super common experience, but it happens a couple times in the course of a natural human life.
But Saturn and Neptune meeting at zero degrees of Aries—again, it's novel. It's new. It's not a thing that's happened before. And as an astrologer, that's super fucking mind-blowing because we can track the movement of the planets through the zodiac for a really long time in history, and to find something that's new—you know, I mean, most things have happened before. And so what I want you to know is that we are at a dawn of a whole new time. The technologies that we have, the state of the environment and the reason why the environment is in the state it's in—they change everything. Those two factors change fucking everything.
We are in a new phase of development, all of us as a collective and you as an individual. And who you are and how you are and what you do is not—you're not a rock. You're not an island. You are a part of a tapestry. We are interconnected. So your individual experience exists in the context of the time we are living in and what's happening in the world and what you do as a part of that.
And so, as Neptune and Saturn meet up, we will all have to make hard choices. We will all be confronted with moral quandaries. We will all have to assess our individual needs against the needs of the collective. We will all have to make choices. And if your choices are governed by self-interest primarily, then you are not just centering your own self-interest. You are centering your own self-interest in the context of the larger whole. That doesn't guarantee you safety. What does it guarantee you? Nothing. We're not guaranteed anything in reality.
We all have material needs, and we all have spiritual needs, whether or not we identify as spiritual people. Saturn and Neptune coming together in any zodiac sign confronts us with the struggle between these two things. And if you are somebody whose spiritual needs and material needs are really well merged, then that struggle for you as an individual is going to be smaller than for somebody whose spirituality is really separate from their day-to-day lives or their material survival. And that's actually most people.
I want to encourage you to stay open, to stay open, because how can you possibly learn from a novel cycle, how can you possibly change and be changed, from a place of closed self-protection? Be open to how you feel. Be open to staying with challenging emotions. Be open to making changes and choices without assurances. That's what time it is. That's life, ultimately, but in particular, that's what time it is now.
And that, my friends, is your horoscope for the week of February 8th through the 14th of 2026. I will give you one more little heads-up. On the 15th, there will be an exact Sun square to Uranus. We're really going to be feeling it on the 14th, again, V-Day. This transit, the Sun square to Uranus, brings about surprises. It requires adaptability. It can overstimulate your nervous system, make it hard to sleep, make it hard to relax, and it can also bring you something new, something exciting. It can inspire you to be more curious and to try new things. So I want to just give you that little heads-up because you're going to be feeling it on the 14th even though the transit is not exact until the 15th.
A quick run-through of the transits and enthusiastic reminder that if you want to read the transcript of this episode, it's always available within about 24 hours on my website over at ghostofapodcast.com. Okay. On the 8th, Venus forms an exact square to Uranus. On the 11th, the Sun is exactly sextile to Chiron. On the 13th, Saturn very consequentially enters into Aries. And then, finally, get a little heads-up for the 14th because, on the 15th, the Sun is exactly square to Uranus.
Thank you so much for joining me this week on the 600th episode of Ghost of a Podcast.
