Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.

Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. This week, we're going to look at the astrology of June 1st through the 7th of 2025. Before we get into this week's astrology, I want to share something. I spent 25 years of my life before 2020 practicing as an astrologer and primarily doing one-on-one consultations. So I gave readings to individuals for a living for 25 years. And for more than 20 of those years, it was my full-time job.

Using astrology to understand a person's nature, to understand who a person is, how they became that way, the kind of cultural and inherited components to it, the choices that we can make within our nature to best embody the potential of our nature—that is what I focused on for the bulk of my career. And then, over time and with extreme developments in the world, my work made a shift. So I'm talking about myself here for a minute. Bear with me. My work made a shift where I stopped doing one-on-one consultations in 2020 as my primary use of astrology and the way that I organize my time day after day, week after week, month after month.

And that shift allowed me to focus more on mundane astrology, which is more social and political astrology. Now, from my perspective, when I as an astrologer am counseling or consulting with an individual, that is not the time for me to share my political analysis or my worldview. Instead, it's a time for me to hold space for the other person and wherever they're coming from, whatever their values are.

Now, when the shift occurred in my work and I started doing one-on-many work instead of just one-on-one work, it empowered me to be able to share not just my predictions and assessments of what's happening astrologically and how it is going to affect us on a collective level—which, of course, is social and political—but it also empowered me to be able to share more of myself, essentially, because I'm not counseling; I'm interpreting. It's a different thing.

And I know that there will always be people who want their astrology to be apolitical. I don't agree with that, and that is not how I work. And that's great. People get to be different. But I do want to say that within mundane astrology, when we are looking at social and political conditions, we can and should look at the daily transits that are occurring, like I do week after week here on the podcast, but it's important to understand when considering issues that impact millions of people, when we're trying to understand how governments run or major corporations run, when we're struggling to understand these things, we do need a significantly more complex and broad-minded take on astrology.

So I share this because there are so many things that are happening right now, so many fucking things. And that's always true, but these are exceptional times. And yes, there is exceptional astrology aligned with that. But when we want to discuss the astrology of these really big topics, it requires us to consider big-picture transits and honestly a lot of different kinds of charts, whether we're looking at the astrology of a nation or of a presidency or of a pandemic. There's a lot of layers to it. And I think that's important for me to say because being too reductive or too simplistic in our use of astrology can lead us down some brambly paths.

Similarly and at the same time, I have some astrological context and information. I have this platform. And it is really hard for me, as a human person—which, of course, I am—to not want to, week after week, talk about the devastating genocide in Gaza perpetrated by the State of Israel and funded by the United States and much of the rest of the Western world. It is really hard for me to not talk to you about bird flu and COVID, which—yes, there is a new strain, and it is spiking, and it is time for us all to put our masks back on in public spaces. It is hard for me to not talk about ICE and what it's doing and how we all need to care and get activated, not by posting on social media, but activated in the real world about it.

It is hard for me to not talk about those things and countless more that I think about every damn day and that feel to me like major moral issues of our time. And as my work is—I am an astrologer, psychic medium, and I do other things. I have other tools and skills. But it would be remiss for me to not name these things because I care about them, and I want each and every one of us to care about them. I want you to care. And as hard as it is, I want your caring to transform you, to change you, to motivate you to find ways of engaging with your own self, with your own shit, with the ways in which you've internalized colonial mindsets, white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, and a eugenicist mindset. I want you to care about those things. I want to encourage you to dismantle those things.

And for me to substantively tie that into astrology every week would be a totally different kind of podcast, and it would be, to be totally frank, weedy. It would require that I talk about astrology at such a high level that it would be really inaccessible to most people. It would be very technical in a lot of ways. That's not actually what I'm doing here, and that's not the service I'm offering you.

But I want to name that, because as you tune in week after week to this podcast, you are listening to me, and I am a person. And I don't in any way feel that a prerequisite of us being friends, of you getting value from my podcast, means we have to agree on everything. I welcome contrast. I welcome struggling with ideas to find the truth, to identify what it is that I care about that you care about. I'm down for that work. And I invite you to participate in that work in your life whenever/however that resonates for you.

But I want to be clear about who the fuck I am. There is no context where genocide is okay. My heart breaks for the people of Palestine. I stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine. The unrelenting violence and cruelty that the State of Israel is perpetrating against the people of Palestine is beyond devastating, and what is happening to them is a humanitarian crisis and a moral emergency.

I want to be clear that I am Queer as fuck and that Queer and Trans people are my family and that Queer rights and Trans rights are human rights, that everybody deserves the right to determine what happens to and with their bodies—everybody has the right to navigate their own healthcare—and that COVID is not over, that not caring about COVID, not caring about getting yourself sick but, more importantly, getting other people sick, not caring about immune compromised people or people who are living with long COVID, is inherently unkind and eugenicist, and that in order for us to progress in a humanitarian way, we need to integrate into our behaviors a disability justice lens. In other words, we need to care with our actions about people who are medically vulnerable. And it's annoying, but it is not a big deal to wear a mask.

Now, I believe a lot of other things, but those two things really rile people up. And also, they are core to who I am and to what I care about. The latest episode of Ghost, Episode 532, was an unusual episode and kind of a long time coming in that I spoke with activist, journalist, and author Anne-christine d'Adesky about Project 2025. And I really hope you'll check it out. Whether or not you agree with me on the things I've named or in general about politics, I hope you'll check it out because it was informative and inspiring and instructive. And those things, the inspiration and the instruction, are so important because we are living through a time where it is our individual moral responsibility to engage consciously, intentionally, with the world around us. It is.

And to bring it back to astrology very broadly speaking, now that Saturn and Neptune are both in Aries, so close to each other and so close to forming a square to Jupiter while also Pluto is in Aquarius, my friends, things are moving fast. And in July, when Uranus moves into Gemini, it's going to be a whole other thing. There is so much to care about. There is so much happening that is beautiful and good and also devastating and scary. And you can't possibly fix any of it, take it all in at once, metabolize it, without feeling crushed and devastated at times. Grief is like that.

But if you can stay connected to your values, to what's important to you, without getting defensive or too in your head or too deflated, if you can stay connected to your values, to who you are and what you actually care about, then within that, there is instruction. Within that, there is purpose and direction. And my greatest hope for you is that you find a sense of purpose and direction and you follow through with maybe just a teeny, tiny shift or action or maybe big shifts and big actions. One way or another, I hope for you and for all of us that you figure out what you care about and you act in ways that reflect that care.

One more thing before we dive into this week's horoscope—hey, you Gays, it's fucking Pride. Queers to the front of the line. Go ahead and send me your question. Put somewhere, "Hey, Gays," "Hey, you Gays"? Yeah. Sure. I think that sounds fun. Okay. Let's put that. Put that somewhere in your email, "Hey, you Gays." Make sure to share that you are Queer, and send me your questions to be chosen for the podcast. And I will, in honor of Pride, starting in mid-June, probably, be centering Queer readings on the podcast. So giddyap on that.

All right. Let's dive into your horoscope. All right. So this week begins on Sunday, June 1st, at 1:11 p.m. Pacific Time, where Venus and Chiron meet up at 25 degrees and 44 minutes of Aries. So, if you have anything at around 25, 26 degrees of a cardinal sign—so that's Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn—you are going to especially feel this transit.

Venus conjunction to Chiron is a bit of an activating transit. What it does is it puts you in direct contact with self-worth crises, basically. The ways in which you struggle with self-worth, with self-esteem, with being able to embody your inherent value as a person, is kind of brought to the surface by Chiron. A lot of times, this happens relationally. And so it shows up in your relationship with someone else, whether it's a group of people or an individual. Usually, with Venus, it's like a one-on-one kind of close relationship where you are confronted with something about yourself that is hard for you to accept.

And it's really important to recognize that when you run into parts of yourself that you don't especially like, that aren't aligned with how you want to be and with what you value, it's always an opportunity for you to gain greater clarity about what's important to you, what is in alignment for you, and to make an adjustment.

This transit is really good for confronting deep wounds that you are embodied around around your self-worth and making progress. The key is to not recoil from pain or negative beliefs but instead to stay present with them and to particularly notice the way they show up in your body because we're talking about Aries energies. Notice how they're showing up inside of your body and in your psyche so that you can better understand your own messiness and complexity and make choices to center and value empathy for yourself and the willingness and the practice of embodying care in action.

Venus is related to how you connect with other people. It's the intimate, diplomatic, care-based ways in which we relate to other people. And when Chiron shows up to kind of kick Venus into action, what can often happen is you are confronted with something relationally that is hard for you to metabolize, it's hard for you to stay present with, and it's hard for you to sort through. And so, whether someone is mean to you or you are mean to you or it's not even about meanness but it is about a sense of struggling to find alignment or belonging, the magic of this transit is in the uncomfortable spots. It's in that space that exists where you struggle with yourself. If you can hang out there, then you can bring healing to that part of you, whatever part of you is struggling.

And foundationally, having a healthier relationship with yourself empowers you to be more kind and responsible and present with other people. So it has this really lovely cascade effect on your life. And maybe "cascade" is too big a word because a cascade is kind of a big thing. But it does have a ripple. It does help you out.

Now, another thing I'll say about this transit is it's not great for big money moves. It's not great for spending money or making big financial decisions if you can avoid it. If you can't avoid it, don't overthink it. But it is a good time for you to reflect on your relationship to money and what you believe it means about yourself or other people—how you handle money, how much money you have, your class background, all that kind of stuff.

Chiron will kick up issues in regards to those issues for a lot of folks. And if that happens with you, again, the key here is to be interested in where you're in alignment and where you're not and then to be kind and empathetic to yourself around where you're not. But you don't want to stop there. Then you want to actively work towards repair by striving with your actions to be in greater alignment with your values.

And I break down this transit and the rest of the transits for all of June in my bonus episode of Ghost of a Podcast. It comes out on the 1st of every month. It's available on my Patreon, as it has been for many years, but it's also now available for you to subscribe to, I think on most platforms of wherever you listen to this podcast. So you can check it out on all the regular avenues you would look for my podcast. Okay? So bonus episode of Ghost of a Podcast where I break down the astrology of June of 2025, and it is hot.

Now, that brings us to the next exact transit that's happening this week. On Wednesday, June 4th, at 7:32 p.m. Pacific Time, Venus again will be hanging out at almost 29 degrees of Aries, forming an exact sextile to Jupiter at almost 29 degrees of Gemini. So quick pullback here. Jupiter is anaretic. I mean, Venus is anaretic, too. They're both anaretic. They're at the final degree of their zodiac sign. But this means that Jupiter is soon moving into Cancer, nationalistic, patriotic, emotional Cancer. And that's going to have big implications starting next week. This week, it's in peak Gemini vibes.

So, in the context of Jupiter in Gemini, this is a great time for exploring ideas, for being adaptive, being willing to change your mind, to shift your thinking, your perspective, trying new tools or trying old tools in new ways. That is peak Jupiter in Gemini vibes. Have experiences, and think about them while you're having the experiences. Jupiter in Gemini.

Okay. Back to Venus sextile Jupiter. This is a lovely transit. Venus is, again, self-worth, self-esteem. It's also your values, your close relationships, and your finances—and a spark of energy, a supportive spark of energy. When Venus forms a sextile to Jupiter, it really supports you in building up your self-esteem. If you set the intention to be curious about and work with and on your self-worth issues, your self-confidence, Venus sextile to Jupiter can help you with that.

Now, you want to be mindful that you are not being superficial, unless that serves you, unless you want to be. But Venus sextile to Jupiter can help you to sort through whatever Venus conjunct Chiron kicked up. And that's really helpful. It can support you to embrace your value, to align with your principles and ethics, to act with kindness and generosity towards yourself and others. Now, sometimes that's not possible, of course, not in all relationships and not without boundaries.

But Venus sextile to Jupiter strengthens your relationship to your self-esteem. It helps you to have greater equilibrium and peace and ease. It connects you with your capacity to experience pleasure and joy. It increases your capacity to experience and facilitate harmony and connection. Like I said, fabulous transit. If you have the opportunity to—I don't know—go on a date, hang out with friends, consume art, if you have the opportunity to tra-la-la through nature, this transit will make all of those things feel better and kind of be more substantive for you.

This is a great time for flirting, connecting, creating. And that is on all the levels. Do you like to flirt with flowers that you see in a field? Go for it. Do you prefer to flirt with humans? Also great. The transit will support you at all of these things. If you meet someone new, especially if this transit is hitting your chart directly, again, it's lovely. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be a long-term connection or that it's fated, but it does mean that it's likely to feel good, to be kind of exciting and lovely.

This is a great time for travel, for partying, for connecting. It's not a great time for self-control. It's not a great time for reining it in. So, if you are somebody who tends towards excess, you want to be a little mindful of that. If you're somebody who's been trying to figure out what it is that you value—like, what are your values—this transit can really help you with that.

If your close relationships need more care, if you've been struggling with someone and you want to find a way to affirm that you are on the same team and to come together with more love and empathy, this transit is your friend. So do your best to actively cultivate this energy because the energy is gorgeous. It is lovely. Luck—yeah, sometimes luck just befalls a person, but a lot of times, luck is a little bit of chance and a little bit of what you do with that energy.

So, this Venus sextile to Jupiter, do something with the damn energy. Make your own luck. Expand your capacity to care about yourself, about others—about yourself and others in a healthy, balanced way while you're at it. And then, finally, I should say if you're an artist or a creative person, this transit is fucking spectacular. Get in the studio. Put on your headphones—whatever it is, however you do what you do.

And that brings us to the last exact transit of this week. On Thursday, June 5th, Mercury will be at 23 degrees of Gemini and 42 minutes, forming an exact sextile to Mars at 23 degrees and 42 minutes of Leo. This will be exact at 3:10 p.m. Pacific Time. This transit, while maybe not as technically spectacular as Venus sextile Jupiter, is an absolutely lovely transit. Mercury is your friends, and Mars is making shit happen. It's activities. It's chemistry. Mercury is your mind; Mars is your motivation.

When these two planets form a sextile to each other, things speed up. Your thinking speeds up. The tempo of your daily activities speeds up. You run into people. You have chance encounters that feel nice. Or you make the decision to make shit happen, and then you damn do. Or you may be the recipient of someone else deciding to make shit happen.

This transit is motivating, so it's a great time to explore your ideas and plans, to explore the motivations underpinning your ideas and plans. This is a great transit for socializing, for—if you've been kind of like, "Is it a friend or is it a crush?" this is a great time for exploring it because Mercury sextile Mars will bring up both friend vibes but also flirty vibes.

This transit is excellent for being forthright, for speaking your mind. And when I say speaking, I don't just mean using your vocal cords—communicating your convictions, your beliefs, your needs, your preferences. Direct and forthright communication is favored under this transit. If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question during a Mercury sextile to Mars. This is not a challenging or confronting transit, but it is dynamic and active. And so, if you don't want things to change, don't invite in the change.

This is a great time for making friends, for going on first dates, for exploring your connections with people. It's also a great time for exploring your ideas and following through with plans, as I said before, but I mean this in a slightly different context now. If there's a million details that need tending to, this transit can help you with that because Mercury is the details and Mars is the energy that tends to things. So, if you decide that you're going to follow through and make shit happen, you can.

And this transit can be detail-oriented. It just really depends on how you utilize the energy and, of course, how these planets hit your chart. And of course, we are talking about around 24-degree mutable placement and around 24-degree fixed placement. So, if you have anything in mutable or fixed signs at around 24 degrees, you're especially going to be feeling this. And that's it for the exact transits of this week.

Now, I want to give you a heads-up next week we have a very intense Full Moon in Sagittarius and some pretty heavy transits. And then, the week after, we have some very important transits involving Mars and Uranus and then Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. There's a lot of really consequential energy building up in the next couple of weeks. And listen. I want to encourage you to stay as present as possible and not trip over transits that haven't happened yet.

However, I am letting you know this because, this particular week in astrology, there's a lot of really supportive energy. Venus/Chiron conjunction aside, it's not that activating. As I've said to you many times before, sometimes the bigger themes kind of start to come up when there are not distractions from challenging transits week by week or day by day.

But I want to encourage you to set the intention to tap into these supportive energies, to tap into the relative ease and chill of the astrology of this week. If you can use this energy to resource yourself, to get greater aligned with your values, to connect with people and plans that support you in being more centered and present in your life, that's a great idea because things are going to be jarring in the next couple of weeks.

So strive to be where you're at and to be supportive and kind to yourself and others from that place. In doing so, you engage in creating a foundation within yourself that you can resource when things are less chill, as they will be soon. Okay? Okay. And of course, if you want more on the astrology of the coming weeks, just tune in to that bonus episode of Ghost, where I look at the astrology of June 2025.

Let me run through these transits one more time. On the 1st, Venus meets up with Chiron in Aries. On the 4th, Venus forms a sextile to Jupiter. And on the 5th, Mercury forms a sextile to Mars.

I hope you have a really great week and that you take good care of yourself and others. And I'll talk to you in just a couple of days. Buh-bye.
