Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.

Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. Something that I absolutely love about astrology is that when we understand that there's something called personal planets and social or generational planets, when we look at the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, these planets make a lot of sense to people when they're first learning about astrology. And the reason why is because it applies to your personality. It applies to your immediate nature and to the nature of the people around you.

And so many people get into astrology because of how relational it is in nature. It gives you insight into yourself but also into your relationships. When people start to learn about Jupiter and Saturn and even more so Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, people get confused. These are the planets that really throw people off because they're related to collective conditions. And it's really hard for a lot of people to make sense of that personally.

Now, there's a ton for me to say about that because the slower-moving planets are really at the centerpiece of my practice and use of birth chart astrology, but that's for another conversation. In this conversation, what I want to kind of shed a little light on is how astrology, when we just look at the planets alone—just the planets alone—articulates how you as an individual, made up of all these planets and zodiac signs and houses and aspects—you as an individual are having an individual experience in your personal life at the same time that you are having a collective experience in the context of social and collective—which includes but is not limited to political—conditions. It's in astrology. It's in your birth chart. It's in the transits.

And so many times, what happens is we're having this individual experience, and we're also having a collective experience. But when you as an individual don't recognize that you are part of a community of thousands or millions of people going through a similar or same thing, then you kind of lose out on really important context. And more than context, you can lose out on potential resources for coping with whatever it is you're going through.

And this is a meaningful part of why, when I use astrology in general in my life and in public spaces, including but not limited to this podcast, I will often bring it back to social and political conditions, because that's how the human condition works. That's how astrology works. None of us exist in a vacuum. None of us exist in a vacuum. We are all connected to other people. We are all connected to the land. We are connected to the plant life and the animals around us, whether or not that connection is harmonious, conscious, painful, difficult. It's still there.

And I believe this as a person who lives in the world. I believe this through the lens of my spiritual values system. And as an astrologer who's been using astrology professionally for more than 30 years now, I believe it to my core based on how astrology functions. This is important if you are a student or a fan of astrology. This is important if you are trying to make sense of your life and how dating is or isn't working for you or your health is progressing or stalling or whatever else. These things are really important because when we understand that we function within the circle of the birth chart or the context of society itself or community itself, then you're not so alone, and you don't have to reinvent the wheel in trying to identify, "What's wrong with me?"

It should not be surprising that when I get questions for the podcast from people who want readings, they come in waves. Many people will ask the same question all at once, and this is not mysterious. It's because we are spiritual beings having a material experience. We are individual beings having a collective experience alongside that individual experience. Just because we may be spiritual beings, as I believe, doesn't mean we're not having a uniquely and decidedly material experience.

Now, this is something that's kind of always on my mind and worth me naming. I've probably named this stuff before, but different people come to the podcast at different moments, and it's important for me to share this key functionality of astrology. And as a humanistic astrologer—that's the form of astrology I practice—I want to center your human lived experience. I want to center our human lived experience. And in order to do that, we have to acknowledge the complexities, nuances, and realities of that experience.

This week's horoscope features a Full Moon in Venus-ruled Taurus and a bunch of transits from Venus and Mars. And that, straight out the gate, tells us that things are going to be really relational. They're going to be very much about relationships in your life, whether that's actual relationships between you and some other person or it's about your issues around relationships. And I'll get into all those details in just a moment.

But I want to acknowledge some very important things in that. Your relationship patterns and issues are not exclusive or probably even super unique to you. You are completely unique as an individual, and also, you're made up of the same 12 signs and the same 10 planets as the rest of us. We have a lot of crossover. And being able to understand how you fit into the larger picture hopefully doesn't make you feel sad; it makes you feel validated. It helps you to feel less like you need to figure this out and you need to be perfect, because guess what: none of us have it perfectly figured out, and nobody is perfect. I can promise you nobody is perfect.

Now, another part of why this is so important is because there are so many things happening in the world—so I'm going to name a couple—in the world that are really harmful to both individuals and communities. In the United States, as most folks have heard about, November 1st, which is the day that this episode comes out, marks the day that 42 million individuals are at risk of losing their SNAP benefits. And that means that they won't be able to put food on the table. And that's an individual crisis for many people and families, and it's also a social and collective crisis. They happen at the same time a lot of times.

And this is one of those times where we're seeing a cruel act from a cruel administration where, truly, cruelty is the goddamn point a lot of the time. I want to say, if you're somebody who needs help, if you're somebody who's going to be directly impacted by this, do not be ashamed or embarrassed to ask for help, to receive help, if and as much as it is available to you, okay? That's really important. And if you are somebody who can help, whether you have time and you can pitch in at a local food bank, whether you have cash and you can donate money to a mutual aid fund that's helping folks out in a community or to a food bank, this is the time. This is the time to find a way to participate.

And as I said, it's all about Mars and Venus this week. And Venus is about your values system and how you show care for others, and Mars is what you actually do. It's what you actually do. It's how you do it. And if you, like me, are learning about the genocide and the horrors that are happening in Sudan, it's hard to know what to do as an individual. You see something so much bigger than you happening, another devastating series of images, of human suffering and human cruelty, and as an individual, it's tempting to collapse in on yourself, to really just not know what to do, and to want to do something.

This is where burnout can occur and all these other things. And I don't fucking know what to say about the terror that people are having to live under. But I can say that talking about it, educating yourself, sharing education with others, is an important thing. It's how we connect with each other. What we talk about, what we care about with each other—it matters. It creates your life. It creates culture and community.

And so, if you can, if you can talk to people about it, if you can learn from people about it, that's a beautiful thing. Do it online. Do it in meatspace. And if you're trying to figure out how to show up for people in Sudan, the World Central Kitchen and Doctors Without Borders are both really good organizations that you can support if you've got coin to drop.

Okay. As promised, let's get into your horoscope. We are going to look at the astrology for November 2nd through the 8th of 2025. Unbelievably, we're already at the end of the year. So the first exact transit happens on Sunday, the 2nd, at exactly 3:17 p.m. At that time, Venus is at 25 degrees of Libra and 2 minutes, and it's forming an exact square to Jupiter at the exact same degrees of Cancer.

So here's the thing. Venus square Jupiter is actually kind of a great square. Venus is your relationships. It's connecting to other people. And Jupiter is expansion. And so this can be a time where you have fun flirting times with somebody else, where you feel yourself and you just are like, "I'm going to play with my clothes. I'm going to play with the way I look." This can be a time where you connect with friends and just have a really loving, feel-good connection—lovely transit. It doesn't make you feel especially hardworking or motivated, but you don't always have to be hardworking and motivated. You know what I mean?

This transit is great for feeling kindness, for feeling empathy, for feeling generosity and openness with and towards others. If you are somebody who has a hard time with self-control, with imbibing certain things, gambling, shopping, this transit can trigger that stuff. So it's something to be mindful of, especially because we're still very much feeling the effects of the Venus opposition to Chiron that was exact on November 1st and I talked about in last week's forecast.

Venus square to Jupiter overall is a lovely transit. But don't spend a ton of money on something you know you ultimately can't afford. Be mindful that you may be inspired to overdo it in some way. So you might meet somebody new and feel really excited about them. Rein it in a little. That's all I'm saying. Rein it in a little, okay?

Now, the last thing I'll say about this transit is that Venus is your values, and Jupiter governs the philosophies and beliefs that inspire you. And when these two planets are squaring each other, something really useful occurs. There is a tension between your values and your convictions, and that tension is what you need in order to concern yourself with these topics, to really consider, what do you value? What do you believe? What convictions do you have that overlap with your values systems, and where do they not overlap, and why?

So, if you're somebody who's really struggling with your values system—you don't know what your values are—this transit is useful. It's really useful because, again, there's enough tension there that you're actually going to do the work of self-reflection, maybe talking to other people, learning from other people. Whenever Jupiter is around, we know that we can learn and be inspired. So take it upon yourself to engage in pursuit of these topics if that's relevant to you.

And that brings us to Monday, the 3rd. So, on Monday, the 3rd, at exactly 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time, Mars will be at 29 degrees of Scorpio and 44 minutes, forming an exact trine to Neptune at the same degrees of Pisces—very anaretic, which means peak Mars in Scorpio, peak Neptune in Pisces energies. That's what we're dealing with here. And luckily, this transit is absolutely lovely, absolutely lovely.

Mars is your motivation, and Neptune is your ideals. Therefore, this trine, this ease and benefic flow of energy between these two planets, suggests that there is a lot of supportive energy to connect with your ideals, to act in ways that reflect your humanity, your spiritual convictions, and empathy in general, which is really lovely. If you are somebody who's really kind of struggling with your body or your sexuality—so sexuality could mean Gay/straight/other, but it could also mean how you feel in your sexual body, how you relate to others—this is about body-based stuff, not identity in terms of your ideas stuff, because Mars and Neptune are going to be more felt experience stuff. This transit is really supportive for working through that. But again, it requires your presence—your presence, not losing yourself in your thinking—staying with the body.

Mars trine to Neptune can affirm your connection to all things. And in that way, this transit can represent a time when you figure out how to soothe yourself or to allow yourself to be soothed. This may be through a spiritual experience. It may be through nature. It may be through acts of humanitarianism, a sexual experience that is transcendent—and that may be with yourself or others—or it could be through the experience of creating art or engaging actively with art. But again, because it's Mars, it's about that active engagement piece.

The greatest potential of this transit, I think, is that it can help you to get in touch with your body's ideal pace and rhythms so that you can engage with your passions, with your motivation, with your anger and your rage, and with your ego in a way that is sustainable for your body's systems and that reflects not just your ego's drives, your individual drives, but reflects your connection and interconnectedness with others and with life itself.

In other words, you can align your actions and your beliefs, your ideals. And this is not something where it's like you press a button and then it's done, but it's a direction to point yourself in. It's an adaptation in your motivation structure and in your approach to what you do, how you do, why you do what you do, how you do.

That brings us to November 4th, Tuesday. November 4th is an important day astrologically. At 9:30 a.m. Pacific Time—9:30 on the dot—Mars will be at 0 degrees of Sagittarius and 8 minutes, and it will sit perfectly opposite to Uranus at the same degrees of Gemini. Now, Mars opposite Uranus is an explosive transit. It is a transit where we can expect the unexpected. There is likely to be outbursts of energy, outbursts of egoism and anger and passion. And hey, that could kind of be fun. It could be hot. It could be exciting. It could be the thing that you need to get out of a rut, the thing you need to propel you or a project or a relationship forward.

And it can be violent. It can be disruptive. It can trigger your defensiveness and feelings of being stuck or feelings of being enraged or resentful. It's not an easy transit, and it kicks up feelings—and when I say feelings, I mean sensations and activation in your body as well as feelings, like psychological and emotional feelings. It can kick up feelings that are hard for most humans to stay with. And so what we do is we shove them away, and what that means is we act out. So, depending on your nature, depending on the situation, maybe you act out against yourself. Maybe you act out against someone else. Maybe you act out against someone who has nothing to do with the situation but is not going to harm you or doesn't have power over you. There's a lot of things us humans do that are not ideal, but we do them.

Mars opposite Uranus can make you feel like you don't have a choice; you had to—in other words, entitlement. It can kick up feelings of entitlement. And a lot of people feel the most entitled when they feel hurt or threatened. Consider the things that you may think or that you may do when you feel threatened, when you're sitting somehow in harm's way. We usually wouldn't think of doing or saying things that we would say when we are threatened, right? That makes sense. That makes sense. But a lot of times that you feel threatened, you're not actually being threatened; it's that that's the feeling you're having.

And there's a meaningful difference between feelings and facts. Feelings are important. I'm not saying feelings are not important. Feelings are important. But so are the facts of a situation. If somebody at work tells you that you made a mistake and they're kind of fucking with you, and you didn't really make a mistake, and it wasn't that big a deal, are they threatening you? Are they harming you? Probably not. But could it make you feel absolutely fucking terrible and defensive and upset at a level that is disproportionate to the situation? That is a possible thing that could happen. And it could happen on or around a Mars opposition to Uranus because Mars is your ego and it's what you do, and Uranus is around your freedom, your sense of agency.

So, if you don't feel like you are free to do what you need to do or be who you are, this transit may bring about a clash. And that clash can be very fucking disruptive, okay? Very fucking disruptive. It's not an easy transit. A lot of people will have the impulse to burn it to the ground, to get up and go, to get involved in shit that maybe they shouldn't. Before you engage in ego battles, make sure that you're not shadowboxing. Make sure that you are present and engaging with the realities of the situation.

In the context of collective or social conditions, this transit can indicate violence. Mars is cops and military, and Uranus is explosions. Uranus is surveillance, in many ways, because it's technology. There can be disruptions in community that lead to violence or that perpetrate violence. We may see unexpected actions in war somewhere or many places. This transit may coincide with you needing to rise up, to act in ways that reflect your convictions, your humanity, and your affirmation of the humanity of others.

If we're living in a society or if you're in a situation where there is an abuse of power, either you kind of hide out from it or you engage with it. And when you engage with anything or anyone who is abusing power, you involve yourself in the struggle; therefore, you may become a focus of somebody's anger. And the times that we are living through, and certainly this transit specifically, demands that each of us ask ourselves what risks are we willing to take for what we believe in? What risks are you willing to take for what you believe in? There's not a singular answer. There's going to be many answers because that comes up in many ways over the course of time.

But Mars opposite Uranus is a transit that kicks off reactiveness, impulsiveness, erraticness. And that's rough stuff. So check your motivation. Make sure that in your anger and your outrage, you don't make shit worse for other people or yourself. This transit can be a time when people come together, when communities come together—think of Uranus. It's all about communities. And that can be really powerful. But Uranus is unpredictable energy. Now, this Mars opposition to Uranus is really big news. It's a really big-deal transit. It's one of a couple of really challenging transits of this week. We're going to be feeling it pretty much all week. It's exact on the 4th.

This transit overlaps very intensely—it's a very close transit in the Full Moon chart, because now we have a Full Moon in fucking Taurus. So let's talk about Wednesday, November the 5th, at exactly 5:19 a.m.; we have a Full Moon in Taurus. The moon will be at 13 degrees of Taurus and 23 minutes, and it will be sitting opposite to the Sun at the same degrees of Scorpio.

Now, if you're looking along with me—because, just in case you didn't know or you didn't remember, I'm dropping video versions of this podcast now. And those are available exclusively on YouTube. Have you heard of it? It's a website at youtube.com/ —me, Jessica Lanyadoo, I think. The link is always going to be in the episode description. I'm also committing to making a habit of posting these episodes on the public page of my Patreon so you can find the video versions of these episodes in both places. And the video version might be especially helpful because I share the video of my transit-tracking tool called Astrology for Days, so you can see what I use to track the transits, and you can subscribe if you're interested in it. And also, I am sharing the chart of this Full Moon. So, if you are a student of astrology, you can look along with me and do your thing.

Okay. Okay. Let's talk about this Full Moon. As I said, the Sun and Moon are opposite each other, with the Moon in Taurus. The Full Moon in Taurus is, again, going to be very relational because Taurus is the earth sign that is ruled by Venus. It is about who you care about, how you care about people, how you materially show up for people.

Something that we've been exploring a lot over on my Patreon is home, like how to relate to home, how to woo-ify your home, how to build an altar, how to have a space that feels good, and even what clutter and mess means about you or doesn't mean about you. So we've really been having some in-depth discussions about that over there, and it tracks that that's been really resonant for the community at this time because we've been building up to this Full Moon.

And a Full Moon in Taurus is a time where you can really check in with how you've been living and how it's showing up in your space because Taurus has so much to do with your material space. So a Full Moon is a great time to clean, to clear. And you can clear things on an energy level. You can clean things on a material level. You can just clear your damn head. But whatever it is you do, it is intended to be a practice that comes out of love because it is connected to Venus.

So, when I talk about love, do I mean in love? Am I talking about Disney? No. No, no, no. Neither. What I'm talking about is the energetics and motivation of love, which is abundant. It is present. It is aligned. That is, at core, so much of what the energy of Taurus and Venus are related to. And so, as this is a Full Moon, you are likely to experience difficulties with love. The things that come up during a Full Moon are not what's wrong, necessarily. I mean, we could maybe say they're what's wrong. They're the things that need care and attention.

When things come to the surface, they come to the surface so you can deal with them. That's why they come to the surface. And when things are kind of rattling around in your psyche or in your heart and you don't really know what's going on, it's because you don't know what's going on; it hasn't come to the surface yet. It's not yet ready to be dealt with on a material level. Acknowledging and coping and adapting things on a material level—it's only one level. It's only one level. So, as things emerge to the surface, you have the opportunity to start to engage with them on that level. Don't invalidate the other levels, my friends. There are so many other levels.

Now, as I said, Mars is opposite Uranus. Mars is opposite Uranus. That means this is an explosive, unpredictable fucking Full Moon. And because the Sun is in Scorpio and Mars is being opposed by Uranus, what we have is a real risk of defensive behavior. So you may have something come to the surface and recognize, "Oh shit. I need to show up in a way that better reflects my values." But your ego or the ego of somebody else may be like, "Pew-pew-pew-pew." That's just firing off shots. It might be that your or somebody else's ego makes it hard to come at the situation with love and patience and your values system guiding your behavior.

So here's the thing. Your values are meant to be your values whether you're dealing with an asshole or an angel, okay? Your values are a reflection of you and not the person that you are showing empathy or kindness to. If the only times you can be aligned with your true convictions and values is when you're in a safe situation or around people you like, then that's not really alignment, is it?

This Full Moon is going to be confronting. It's meant to be confronting. And listen. It's not just because of the Mars opposition to Uranus. The ruling planet to Taurus, Venus, is still widely opposite Chiron, square to Jupiter, and square to Pluto. The square to Pluto I'll tell you all about in a minute. It's exact in a couple days.

But Venus is very busy, very busy in this chart. And what this means is you are likely to feel pretty triggered, and I am likely to feel pretty triggered, and the person in the corner store is likely to feel pretty triggered, and your ex is feeling triggered. Everybody is fucking triggered. And how you respond to the feelings you're feeling, the situations you're engaged in, issues within the world, your finances—etc., etc., etc.—how you respond is a reflection on you as an individual—you as an individual. And that doesn't mean there isn't a collective or community-based or a larger individual relationship-based context. They're both true at once. They're both true at once.

Now, through the many years of my consulting practice, I have come to learn that a huge—a massive amount of problems that people have in their personal lives is around boundaries. A lot of the time that you spend defending yourself, explaining yourself, demanding things from other people, could actually just be spent practicing the embodiment of your values and your boundaries. So, if somebody acts in ways that put you out of alignment, then you don't engage, or you find a different way of engaging that doesn't compromise what's true for you, who you really are. Now, listen. That's not always fucking possible, but it's possible a lot more frequently than a lot of people tend to feel.

This Full Moon, it's likely to be pretty messy. And Taurus doesn't love a mess. Taurus doesn't love a mess. But it's the messiness that points us to what needs more care. The messiness in your life, in your relationships, in whatever it is that this Full Moon activates with and for you—that messiness points to a place that is just begging you to show up in ways that reflect your values systems, to not abandon yourself to your strongest emotions—Scorpio—but instead hang out with your virtue, with your values, with your wisest impulses—on its best day, Taurus. Right?

In doing this, nothing gets fixed. Nothing is necessarily easy. But you want to remember that Full Moons, like New Moons—like every other fucking transit that happens—they happen in cycles. And those cycles just build on themselves. And what is hard for you today, if you stick with it, can get a lot easier for you tomorrow or the next day—or not. I mean, honestly, or not. I'm not trying to be idealistic here.

But the assignment is to practice embodying, feeling into, and living your values. And because this whole thing is so activating and there's so much intensity to it, you're going to have to have healthy boundaries in order to pull that shit off. And listen. The likelihood that you have healthy boundaries and every other person you're dealing with has healthy boundaries is incredibly small.

So don't allow your behavior to be dictated by what other people are or aren't doing. You do you to the best of your ability, and let other people do them. If somebody else is just not going to be that healthy or not aligned or have different values than you, that's information that you can use. And this is important in the context of all of these transits, but I want to encourage you to bookmark this because we're right around the corner from a season where a lot of people hang out with their families of origin, with whom they have very different values and opinions. In order to have a conversation where you really inform someone of something—you educate them about something; you help them to understand something—it needs to be a good-faith conversation.

And a good-faith conversation can only occur when both parties are listening to each other. So, if you're not able to listen to the person you're talking to, do not expect them to listen to you. That's unfair. It's unrealistic, and it's unfair, okay? So, if you can't have a good-faith conversation with someone, own it. If you're not capable of doing that at this time, own it, and work on yourself until you can get to that place where you can have a good-faith conversation with them. You can't control other people. You can't control other people. It'd be nice. It'd be nice. But you can't. So how do you take responsibility for yourself? According to Venus, you get aligned. You get aligned with your values.

Okay. So big emotions, big energies, very consequential. And that brings us to November 6th. Now, luckily, on Thursday, November the 6th, Mars forms an exact sextile to Pluto, which means that transit will be helping you and me and everyone else along in that Full Moon chart. Mars sextile to Pluto is a really good transit for strengthening your motivations, for going deep into your motivations. So you better understand yourself. This is a time when you can make shit happen, where you may find yourself feeling more resilient, more empowered; you have an easier time tapping into possibility, like what is possible in a situation and how you can best engage with that.

This is a great transit. There is no downside to it, I'm happy to say. If you can tap into its energies, you will find that you have stamina, which we love and we could use because that Mars opposition to Uranus is all about bursts of energy and super-duper not about stamina. So the fact that there's a nice little overlap—it brings out the best possibility and potential of both of these transits, which is great.

If you are committed to engaging with making something, whether it's recovering or innovating, these two transits overlapping with each other from Mars—the sextile to Pluto, the opposition to Uranus—can suggest innovation and progress. Again, we fucking love to see it. But you know how the Universe does. It gives a little; it takes a little. So this transit overlaps with the last exact transit of this week.

On Friday, November the 7th, Venus forms an exact square to Pluto. Now, now, now, now, first, at 6:19 p.m. Pacific Time, Uranus actually retrogrades back into Taurus. So now we have Uranus back in Taurus. We've got, of course, Neptune and Saturn back in Pisces. We are, at the end of 2025, experiencing some anaretic energies from these outer planets, and we're experiencing the closure of a cycle that has been long developing. And we can talk about that more another time.

But it is relevant to note it's a Full Moon in Taurus, Uranus moves back into Taurus, and Venus is so damn busy this week. Venus is at 1 degree of Scorpio and 31 minutes, forming an exact square to Pluto at the same degrees of Aquarius at exactly 7:44 p.m. And so we have the ruling planet to Taurus, Venus, making some fucking ruckus straight out the gate of this Uranus Retrograde back into Taurus. So it bodes as intense.

So Venus square Pluto—let's talk about this transit. Venus—it's what you own. It's your personal finances. It's how you relate to your finances, like the values you hold. You may be deeply capitalist. You may be ambivalently capitalist. You may be super anticapitalist. Either way, you've got money. You've got bills. You've got stuff. So the values that guide you in relationship to how you navigate your stuff, your resources, even your relationship to abundance—it's all related to Venus.

Venus is also your relationships. It's the sensual part, the loving part of your relationships. There's a Venusian aspect to our friendships. It's who we get along with, who we have vibes with, who we feel lovely with. It's certain kinds of activities, ways that we socialize with other people. It's also love and romance and hooking up and intrigue. And Pluto is deep and roiling and connected to your shadow self and connected to your unconscious and often a place inside of you that is hard to tolerate.

When these two planets sit at a 90-degree angle—a.k.a. a square, a.k.a. a challenge, a challenge where you feel like you have to do something—you can't just hang out; you have to participate. When this occurs, it could be unexpected expense. It could be some sort of financial crisis that is either material or is more values-based, whether it's pulling your money out of investments or no longer—I don't know—having a subscription to a streaming service that supports ICE because you don't fuck with ICE or whatever—there's a struggle.

In regards to your finances, it's important that you adopt the same approach that you would adopt in all the contexts that Venus square Pluto can hit a person—is to hang out with the most intense feelings that you have. Strive to be curious about them instead of to simply react to them, because your strongest emotions when it comes to Pluto are not reliably your wisest emotions. Your wisest insights or theories—they're not the strongest ones, not with Pluto.

If you are somebody who has a compulsive relationship to trying to buy yourself some happy, that impulse may reign supreme this Venus square to Pluto, so that's something for you to be mindful of. A very common—maybe the most common—experience of this transit is more relational. It's more about your relationships with other people. And this transit may intensify your feelings about a parasocial relationship you have. So, instead of focusing on your own values systems and on your own personal relationships, you may find yourself really fixated and ruminating on a parasocial relationship, a relationship with somebody that is pretty much a one-way relationship; the other person doesn't know you, but you really know them. If that's the case, try to be curious about the intensity or the content of your fixation.

Here's a pro tip: any time you're feeling fixated you're ruminating and you're obsessive, you're in Pluto land. And if you're in Pluto land, you're probably projecting. You're probably triggered or activated, and therefore, your analysis isn't super clean. So you want to do your best to cope with the emotions underpinning the fixation, the obsession, before you go about trying to figure shit out or get on the internet or yell at your mom or whatever.

In your personal relationships, issues of value, of course, are up. That might mean that you don't feel valued in your relationships, especially if this is like a pattern for you where you don't feel valued. That may come up. You may not actually be valuing people for the things they want to be valued for. There may be a difference in your relationships around your values, around the world, or your spouse values religion and you don't value religion for your children, and how do you navigate that schism—or whatever.

Whatever level that the theme of values plays itself out on, I want to encourage you to try to be present for it, to try to be curious about it, because this transit happens so things can come to the surface and be dealt with. It's a theme for the week. And if all you do is react, react, react, then you're not getting the benefit. You're not advancing your own relationship to your values. You are not embodying your values. And you are probably participating in creating a bunch of distractions from what's actually important to you in your life.

Now, a lot of times, what will happen under this transit is power struggles. There will be power struggles between you and someone else. It could be power struggles between us and them, and in the us and them category, we're usually looking at violence or abuses of power towards women. And as always, on a societal level, when I refer to women, I include Queer and Nonbinary and Trans folks because, in patriarchy, anything that harms women harms the Queers and the Genderqueers across the spectrum.

So Venus square to Pluto may coincide with some legislative or other kind of societal or systemic violence. We may also see a power struggle in a relationship that sparks conversation, like on a social or parasocial level. More personally, you may find yourself being possessive. You may find that resentments that you try to keep at bay are just like—you cannot control them on and around this date. You may find that there are power struggles and control issues and manipulation issues coming up. And you may be the perpetrator. You may be the victim. Or, most realistically, you may be participating—consciously or unconsciously.

And the thing is—I cannot stress this enough, although I do say it a lot—you're not perfect, and  nobody else is perfect either. You will fuck up, and so will I, and so will they. And as unforgiving and as punishing as you are towards and about others is as unforgiving and punishing as you probably are towards yourself. There is a meaningful difference between not having healthy boundaries and not standing up for yourself. You do not need to engage in every conflict and struggle that comes up in your life or in your relationships. You only want to do it in a way that reflects your values and the value that you hold of yourself.

So don't allow yourself to be dragged down into some bullshit if you think it's some bullshit. Easier said than done. Easier said than done. When it comes to Venus square to Pluto, it's a very challenging transit to engage in. You may be feeling just like fire-in-the-belly resentments, frustrations. You may feel entrapped by a situation or a relationship. Or you may feel none of that shit, but somebody else is feeling that way, and you have to work next to them or with them or something. So the energy is intense. The energy is intense all week. This transit is very fucking intense. Obviously, the energetics of this transit are active in that Full Moon in Taurus chart, which is in the middle of the week.

And so what I want to kind of again bring your energy and attention back to is your values. Your values. Listen. Somebody else can betray you. Somebody else can stab you in the back, can fuck with you, can act in ways that are terribly shitty. And that sucks. It really does. But nothing hurts worse than the ways in which you betray yourself. Nothing stays with you longer than the ways in which you somehow manage to stab your own self in the back. Let other people be what the fuck they are. And if you can accept that somebody is showing you something about themselves that maybe you don't like, then you can have the appropriate boundaries within yourself and in your behavior so that you don't get treated like shit, but also so that you don't treat others or yourself like shit.

In order to have healthy boundaries, you have got to hold yourself in esteem. You must value yourself. Otherwise, you can't have a boundary in that particular regard. This is a great week in general and time in particular for you to get more information about where you struggle to hold value for and in yourself or, depending on your nature, to treat others with value. You may think, "Oh, I always treat other people with value," but if somebody has a different political opinion, maybe you don't. Maybe that's the line.

This transit is going to kick up some shit. That's what it's supposed to do. If it doesn't stir the pot somehow, then you're missing out on an opportunity. When the shit comes up is when you can be like, "Oh, I smell shit. I gotta find it. I can get rid of it now. I can get rid of it now. I can take it out. I can throw it away. I could compost. I could do something." Awareness is foundational to acceptance, which is foundational to growth, evolution, and change, which is often what's needed when we're dealing with toxic feelings, thoughts, behaviors that inevitably Pluto kicks up.

Now, that's your horoscope for the week of November 2nd through the 8th. I'm going to run through the transits very quickly one more time but invite you to check out the transcript for this and every episode over at my website, ghostofapodcast.com, where once you're there, you can use my free chart-drawing tool that adapts to all house systems but defaults to Campanus, which I'm very happy about. And there's lots of classes and articles and other goodies that you can access, including access to my Patreon.

And I actually just wanted to share a review that really just touched my heart from Sarah Ryan over on my Patreon a couple days ago. And Sarah said, "I just wanted to say that I've subscribed to a few member communities over the past year, and yours is by far the richest and most nourishing"—thank you—"and priced so incredibly fairly to enable to access. I feel like it must take a lot of commitment and effort on your part to keep things flowing so well, so just wanted to let you know your efforts are appreciated." And it just touched my heart so much. So thank you, Sarah.

And if you are interested in joining our community, the link is in the show notes and on my website and all the places.

Okay. So, on November 2nd, Venus forms an exact square to Jupiter. On the 3rd, Mars is exactly trine to Neptune. On the 4th, Mars forms an exact opposition to Uranus. On the 5th, there's a Full Moon in Taurus. On the 6th, Mars is exactly sextile to Pluto. And then, on the 7th, Venus is square to Pluto.

Now, one more thing I'm going to say about my Patreon is that, last week, I did a free class for all my members—so all my members, paid and unpaid—on the Mercury opposition to Uranus. So it wasn't just about that transit; it was about the difference between Mercury and Uranus, these two very social planets. And it was really awesome. I gave like an hour notice before I did it. But if you are interested in joining my spontaneous free astrology talks, you can just, again, join me over there on Patreon.

Okay. That's enough from me for now. The midweek episode this week—I'm very excited—is another something different than what I typically do. I joined Dean Spade over on his podcast, Love in a F-ed Up World, and we answered a bunch of his listener questions, which I'm very excited to share with you over the course of two of the midweek episodes on my feed. It'll also be on his feed. Stay tuned for that.

And as always, I thank you so much for joining me here for Ghost of a Podcast. And I hope you take really good care of yourself and others.
