Love Lanyadoo Astrology 3.8-14.2017
Get ready for another emo week!
On the 9th, Mars – the planet that rules the ego and rage (as well as doing it and your car – it’s not all bad!) – shifts into the stabilizing and grounding sign of Taurus. Expect to have a more levelheaded and slightly less fiery shift in energy. This shift, paired with the Venus Rx that we’re experiencing through April 15th, is really grounding for assessing your values. Hunker down and get real about what truly matters to you, and then do something about it. Taurus is a material girl, living in a material world; exchange your theories and ideals for whatever you know to be true in the here and now. The astrology of the 9th will also enjoy the Sun warmly shaking hands (aka forming a sextile) with transformative and intense Pluto. This will produce synergy in our lives and a powerful vibe best used for creation and reform. Get actively involved in your life. This isn’t the time to let your concerns about what other people say stop you from living your best and most honorable life.
The Full Moon in Virgo on the 12th will have a somber edge to it (yay!). Full Moons mark the end of a cycle, and when the Moon is at its brightest, we can often see what’s been repressed. Full Moon feels have a way of crashing to the surface and demanding to be dealt with. The Virgo energy will help us get aligned with what’s healthy and sustainable, so don’t avoid themes of self-care. How you pace yourself through life has a huge impact on how you feel. Virgo is the perfectionist sign of detailed analysis, so remember that there’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to feel, loves. Virgo’s ruling planet, Mercury, will be squaring heavy-handed Saturn on the 12th too. This will make for introspective and critical rationale that could easily get caught up in some Debbie Downer trains of thought. Don’t jump to conclusions or expect the worst; I’ll be using my trusty Selenite to both honor the Moon and to cultivate the flexibility I need to see things clearly. If there’s hard work or straight-talk that you’ve been putting off, this is a good time to tackle it. Saturn favors those who take on difficult tasks and werq. ✌🏾
March 21-April 19
How you have your life set up is due for an upgrade, Aries. Whether you’ve gotten into a rut or have too much on your plate, it’s time for you to confront what’s not working for you in your day-to-day. The Full Moon is a good time for you to quit a bad habit and deal with the feels underlying your behavior. Just because you don’t know what comes next doesn’t mean that things have to stay the same. Subtract what isn’t serving you, and see what emerges this week.
April 20-May 20
This week the vibes may be kinda heavy, but you’re doing all right, Taurus. If you can sift through your worries, you’ll get to the creative solutions you need. Rather than bolts of inspiration, this is the time for hard work with satisfying rewards. You may be called to negotiate a situation or relationship, and the best policy is to be direct and honest, even if that will make things uncomfortable. Don’t let the pursuit of diplomacy allow you to be stuck in the past.
May 21-June 21
Follow your stress. Peace will come from adjustments, big or small. The things that are bugging you the most this week are pointing you to what most needs your attention. You can’t sustain happiness if you are caught up in avoiding what’s wrong – it takes too much energy away from what you need to create. The best way to be true to yourself without being a spazz about it is to sit with your stresses for a bit, Twin Star.
June 22-July 22
When your sense of direction is muddled, it’s easy to feel drained and exhausted by the little things. This week’s Full Moon is an excellent time to reign yourself in and make sure that you’re on a path that you actually want to be on. It’s OK to change your mind – growing requires you to outgrow things, whether you like it or not. You don’t need to workshop your ideas, Moonchild; carve out some alone time and get in touch with your own sweet self.
July 23-Aug. 22
The theme of values is hammering you this week! If your actions and your convictions aren’t lining up, you’re going to feel really bad. There’s no point in pretending that you’re OK with something you’re mad at or in going to do something you already dread. You’re being called to step up your game and honor what you believe and desire. Make plans and have heart-to-hearts that clear the way, Leo. It’s worth it to confront your fears, no matter how compelling they are.
Aug. 23-Sept. 22
It’s that time of year when the Moon is full in your sign, so get ready for a big emo shift, Virgo. It’s time for meaningful introspection. Your work/life balance needs refining or at least greater attention, but you have some pretty great excuses running for why that’s just not possible. It’s time to get out of your own way, Virgo. You can weave stories to match your feelings, but that doesn’t make them true. Seek the truth without justification this week.
Sept. 23-Oct. 22
When we don’t know where to place thoughts and feelings, we tend to repress them, but they have a funny way of popping up. Pay special attention to your dreams around the Full Moon, as they’re likely to be intense and very revealing. You’re meant to be processing some pretty heavy themes, Libra, and it’s important that you don’t get tripped up on the path to perfection. Honor the process instead. Only make compromises that serve your big-picture needs this week.
Oct. 23-Nov. 21
What or who you love needs your undivided attention, Scorpio. It’s time to show up and listen this week, even when your inner dialogue wants to drown out all other voices. You’ve been ruminating, and the conclusions that you’ve come to about the world and your place in it are not necessarily coming from a balanced place. Lay your burden down for a while, and concentrate on being of service in whatever ways you can. Sometimes filling others up creates abundance for everyone, my love.
Nov. 22-Dec. 21
It’s time to build bridges, ‘Tarius. There’s where you want to be and where you are, and there’s nothing but opportunity in between. What you’ve got to do is figure out how to get from where you are to where you want to be in actionable terms. Some of the choices you’re making may actually be at cross-purpose to your goals. The good news is that it’s not too late to course correct. You can’t have all the answers, but you can move yourself in the direction of them.
Dec. 22-Jan. 19
It would be easy to spiral downwards into some heavy thinking, but not helpful, Cappy Mon Capitán. If you can think in broader terms, you’ll be able to see past the immediacy of your stresses and get to some more sustainable solutions. Pain is an inevitable part of life, but suffering is a choice, at least in part. Instead of curating answers, strive to manage your anxiety with more compassion. This week can yield breakthroughs, but it won’t happen if you’re a bully.
Jan. 20-Feb. 18
You’re so ready; you've been dragging around an ocean of worries, and you’re finally ready to release them, Aquarius. This shift is not about not caring; it’s about applying your care in a positive direction. It’s hard to find creative solutions when anxiety and the dank side of what-ifs are bogging you down. Write down all the stresses that have been hurting you – the big and the small – and tear them up with the Full Moon on the 12th. Release your worries, my love.
Feb. 19-March 20
How you do or don’t share of yourself is up this week. The Full Moon in your relationship house happens but once a year, and it’s important for you to take note. You have the habit of holding yourself back for fear of repercussions, but an avoidant strategy brings its own problems. Have compassion for yourself where you’ve made mistakes, and find strength enough to try again. This is the time to be more centered in your own truth, and honest from that place, Pisces.
