What's on the horizon for July? Beware of emotions running high as we gear up for Eclipse Season next month. The Full Moon in Capricorn on the 8th could mean some major power struggles, and a New Moon in Leo on the 23rd is the first of two New Moons in Leo this summer (the next one is on 8/23rd and is the Great American Eclipse). How you express your love is important; show all the way up this month, lovers!
March 21–April 19
This month is when things start to get hot, Aries. Passions will be running high throughout July and that can be awesome or super taxing, depending on your situation. The first week of the month is going to challenge you to stand up and hold your ground, but you may take that opportunity and run with it. Be wary of picking fights that are more about the struggle for power than the thing you’re actually talking about. The Full Moon on the 8th is going to make you extra defensive if you’re not careful, so prioritize whatever self-care you can manage so that you are able to act with integrity when the small stuff bugs you. If you try to repress things you’ll find that your relationships feel pretty bad around the 24th. This is a time for change, so be an active part of it, my love.
April 20–May 20
This month may kick off with you feeling extra agitated for no clear reason. Look to your connections with others for the reasons why; if you’re dealing with a breakup, you may find that you haven’t let go of the relationship, even if you feel hella over the person. The first half of July is an excellent time to get present. Honor whatever you feel by supporting yourself in the here and now. Things are likely to be very active for you this summer, so don’t let your self-care game get off track. Success without a healthy inner life is hard to enjoy; prioritize your insides in tandem with getting it all done this month, Taurus.
May 21–June 21
The first half of July is going to kick up thoughts, compulsions, and weird inner ticks of the past for you. When this happens, make sure that you pay attention to what’s triggering these reactions so you can get to healing them. The Full Moon on the 8th will be provocative, but not in a sexy way. Make sure that you don’t jump into conflict with people who won’t listen to you anyway, Twin Star. If you’re going to fight, fight for something, and not just to make noise. Around the 20th you’re likely to have a confrontation with what you hold dear. Make sure that your actions reflect your values.
June 22-July 22
Sometimes there’s a fine line between standing your ground and picking a fight, and you’re about to find it, Moonchild. This month will bring intense energies to the surface that demand to be dealt with. Whether you have to contend with someone who won’t leave well enough alone, or you find that you’re the agitated one, be careful what you say and how you say it. Fight for what you believe in, but not just to prove your point. Others can disagree with you and that doesn’t have to diminish your perspective. Being able to accept differences that you can’t celebrate is a virtue that will get you out of lots of trouble this month.
July 23–Aug. 22
The start of July is an excellent time for doing dream work, as your subconscious is grappling with something that your conscious mind would rather not deal with. Take heart, Leo; you must be brave to honor your feels consistently—and the people you love deserve your consistency. On the 20th Mars enters your sign and that will give you the boost you need to assert yourself, but won’t do too much for introspectiveness. Make time for self-reflection before the New Moon in your sign on the 23rd. It’s going to require you to clarify your values and have them well reflected in your actions, even if it’s complicated. This year is rare in that we have two New Moons in your sign (the next will be the Great American Eclipse on August 21st). Step up to this powerful opportunity for emotional embodiment, my love.
Aug. 23–Sept. 22
Beware of enticing people from your past coming back around with the Full Moon on the 8th, Virgo. It’s on you to take care of your heart; if you chose not to remember why things didn’t work out the first time around, you’re just asking for trouble. The first half of this month is likely to bring up passions in all senses of the word—expect it to be hot and bothered, either really creative or really destructive. This is not the time to phone it in and jump in headfirst without considering the consequences. Love is a healing force, but lust isn’t. Make sure if you’re gunning for the latter, you don’t pay more than it’s worth.
Sept. 23–Oct. 22
Don’t worry so much about what others think that you ignore what’s going on in your own sweet noggin, Libra. This month, events will challenge you to own your perspective, but if you’re so focused on what everyone else is doing, that’s not gonna be possible. The Full Moon on the 8th is going to bring a lot of intensity to your personal life, and then it’s going pretty much continue through the 21st. Don’t patently avoid conflict; sometimes it’s totally necessary to clear the air and get to the truth. Chose your battles and your tactics wisely, because the consequences of your actions now will be felt for a long time to come.
Oct. 23–Nov. 21
You have a bad reputation for being the Honey Badger of the zodiac, but in truth you really do care, Scorpio. The trouble is that you feel things so intensely that you can either shut down or come on too hard when emotions are high. Do your best to temper your reactions this month. That may require you to be a little more careful about the amount of time you spend with people—even those you love—so that you can do the things you need to do to be the best version of yourself. If conflicts emerge, be gentle with your anxiety levels, and beware of defensiveness. Some things are worth fighting for, and some things are better left alone.
Nov. 22–Dec. 21
Love isn’t all about being swept away; it takes time and effort. It’s easy to get distracted—there’s always so much going on! The problem is that if you don’t keep track of your commitments, you end up hurting people, no matter how innocent the mistakes feel. This month, it’s time to get organized. Catch up on your emails, arrange your calendar, and make sure you’re not overcommitted. Make sure that when you show up for others, you’re all in, and if you need time for yourself, be clear and communicative about it. Take care of the basics of your love life and let it flourish from there, Sagittarius.
Dec. 22–Jan. 19
There is so much going on for you this month that you need to be on your very best behavior, or you’ll get in all kinds of trouble, Capricorn. Your ego is in overdrive for the first week of this month, and that can turn you into a real pain in the buns if you’re not careful. Be as generous to others as you want them to be toward you. The Full Moon in your sign on the 8th is going to bring up feelings that you’ve been repressing, so know that dramas that emerge around this day have been a long time coming. Make sure that your impulse to be the biggest and the best with your goals doesn’t have a corrosive impact on your personal life. Seek balance this month, my love.
Jan. 20–Feb. 18
The New Moon in your relationship house on the 23rd marks the start of something special. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ll meet someone new, but you might, and if you do, it’ll be hecka intense. Relationships that begin this month or next will play an important role in your development, so be on your very best behavior, my love. You may find yourself getting extra irritable from the 20th onwards; the best way to channel this energy is into activities that require a lot of effort, that make you sweat (if ya know what I mean), or that you can power through. Be open to surprises this month, Aquarius.
Feb. 19–March 20
Creativity, love, and sex can transform your life or make you feel 50 shades of crazy this month. You may find yourself overwhelmed by other’s needs and not sure how to not get consumed by them, or you may find yourself in the throws of an all-out obsession. The time has come for you to take ownership of your limits and desires, and assert them firmly but kindly, my love. When you water down the truth, you’re basically saying that you don’t trust the other person to handle you. It’s time to face facts, even if they’re messy. The New Moon on the 23rd is going to give you a break from all of this intensity; use it as your time to prioritize self-care and to clarify where you’re at.
